Well, since he is the head engineer and since he has an insanely good idea on what's so special Gerald could have Nexus ported offsite to another S.E.R.V.E base. Since one of my posts confirms Gerald has something to do with Eldritchian research he could have it imported to a base that specializes in that work. In fact, can I share an idea with you?

Well, I can certainly see S.E.R.V.E having more then one Prototype gone horribly wrong. but my idea for this one was it would be a lot more savage, similair to beserk mode in Evangelion.

Name: EVLVE-112
Appearance: A tall humanoid Mecha, It is hunched over and covered in white armor, however, much of it is ripped off, revealing red flesh. It's arms and long and spindly, and it's hands end in wicked claws, It's head is elongated but the metal has been ripped in half, revealing a mouth with three rows of needle like teeth and a black slobbering tongue, It's eyes are bloodshot and have crazed looks. It has several tubes and hoses sticking out of it's body.
Abilities:
Speed
Strength: EVLVE is strong enough to be more then capable of ripping a mech to shreds,
It's fangs and claws can rip through armor like paper.
It is beserk with pain and will try to rip the mech's apart savagely.
Nanites: EVLVE has nanites which can heal it's flesh from minor wounds, for major wounds, say missing arm, it requires something of equal mass to heal it completely.
