Are these animatronic puppets with screens on their heads that can give them facial animation? :O That's actually a pretty clever way of implementing the zany cartoon style on animatronics.
Is it weird I kinda like this better than Rise of the Resistance?
This is arguably the trippiest thing WDI has done since the original Journey into Imagination, and I am totally here for it.
Also, POV from all four cars:
Like I have no idea how they did the waterfall scene.

“Vacation Fun” turned out to be a Clip Show of the various Mickey shorts (the panda one, Potatoland, Couple Sweaters, the bullfighting one and the Egypt one at least) rebranding making a couple of the international shorts as times Mickey and Minnie were on vacation.
Check it out here:

It's not about this series, but we did talk about Minnie's voice a bit, so let me post here. Anyway, the most recent episode of Mickey Mouse Mixed Up Adventures is Kaitlyn Robrock's first full time voicing Minnie. She previously did additional voices for various episodes this season, most likely filling in for Russi Taylor for dialogue she didn't record. Anyway, it's a short clip, but what do you think?

The Christmas special Duck The Halls is coming to Disney Plus on November 26.
This is admittedly a pretty clever way to keep ahold of the original IP.
Also, introducing 1920s era Mickey to a modern setting - and a modern cartoon landscape - seems like a pretty fresh idea.
I wonder what Minnie is going to make of him, though. The old Mickey wasn't exactly a faithful boyfriend.
Hope shines brightest in the darkest timesIIRC, the second threat came up after the Wonderful World series was announced, with the assumption that the two would be very different series. They turned out not to be so different that we didn't just use both at once, though.
The two threads could very well be merged, I think. Maybe into something like Paul Rudish's Mickey Mouse or something like that.
There was a holler to "merge" threads which isn't something we can do and the link to the other thread was not given. Next time, please link both threads. We can't be expected to know where the other thread is.
If no one uses the other thread, I can lock that one and rename this thread to "Paul Rudish's Mickey Mouse" as suggested.
Macron's notesIt was this thread
, and I think it makes most sense to keep this thread and close the other one.
Just got finished watching Steamboat Silly, if this serves as the official finale for the Paul Rudish Mickey shorts. Then it sure did end on a sweet note since it's dedicated to Mickey's original incarnation from Steamboat Willie. The credits even showcases animatics for scenes that never made it into the actual short.
