this... looks promising.
and i like the art style. has a sort of retro vibe to it.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.I... I actually like this so far.
Paul Rudish, who has a long history with Cartoon Network including Dexter's Lab and Sym-Bionic Titan, is the executive producer of these shorts. In fact, a LOT of refugees from Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon are working on them including Aaron Springer (Spongebob), Alex Kirwan (My Life as a Teenage Robot) and David Wasson (Creator of Time Squad).

Looks good so far. Hopefully if these go over well, we might finally get that Mickey Mouse movie thats been in and out of Development Hell.
sorry. this is my first time ever hearing of it.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Well, this is a nice little contrast to the "no more 2D movies being planned" news. And the short they have up already is gorgeous.
Looking for some stories?I for one welcome back our animated mouse overlord.
...Think Oswald The Lucky Rabbit will appear in any of these shorts?
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!New shorts in the theaters? :D
But in all seriousness, if the shorts are anything like the one they have up there, I'm looking forward to it. Took a minute or so for it to really get going, but by the end I was laughing. That gag with the police taking their police cars out from under their hats? Positively genius.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I'm absolutely sure that the bit with Mickey running from the goat was a reference to an older short, but I can't remember which one. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?
IIRC, there was a goat Mickey mistreated in Steamboat Willie.
if we're going to get technical, Mickey mistreated all the animals in Steamboat Willie.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Looking forward to this. It looks like it's got some good talent behind it, and it actually looks like Disney's letting them do more or less what they want.
Just saw the new short Croissont de Triomphe and I have to say that I am completely digging the animation. It has a very "John Kricfalusi"-esque vibe to it and it also pokes fun at its other animated work. My only concern is how the video is in French, which I hope was just a set piece for the short and not what the actual series will be like.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I liked this new style for Mickey, seems to emphasize a more adventurous spirit than his conventional appearance today.
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsEh, for what it's worth the style of animation seemed much more hand drawn than other flash shows, such as MLP:FIM.
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Just saw the cartoon, and I'm pretty impressed. The animation started seeming like it was a little too simple, but as it went on and it started becoming grander and grander it showed itself to be a lot more inventive than it seemed from the first half a minute or so. It's still simple, but it ends up reveling in that and being just a very straight little adventure. Also, the bit where he interrupts Cinderella is hilarious.
It's obvious that these cartoons are going to be more of the "quick little incident starring the characters" sort of things, along the lines of Donald's Dynamite or Pluto Gets The Paper - which probably why they're not going to film. I don't mind that idea, but I do hope the
Another big reason this makes me excited? It's entirely in French, and doesn't try to shy away it to treat the American audience like idiots. And hey, that makes me hopeful for a time where we might get an appearance of Jose' or Panchito that don't file some of their nuances away either.
