Apparently the individual in question is now directly sending death threats to the various youtubers covering her antics.
Unfortunately when it was outed that the composer was trans, the floodgates opened and the good old internet hate machine cranked into overdrive. Even the likes of Jim Sterling, who's about as LGBTQ-friendly as one can possibly be, has been fighting a losing battle trying to control the hate and vitriol being spewed in the comments. Composer has been sent thousands of death threats and hate mail with messages ending in shit like "Total Biscuit sent me bitch!"

Nah this is one person having a massive downward spiral and trying to hurt as many people as they can, it's far more simple and easy to understand than that entire mess, even when you factor in the idiots that think harassing her is in any way productive or moral.
In the end false DMCA claims, death threats against YouTubers and mob harassment are all things that happen reasonably regularly online, they jsut don't tend to all come together like they have in this instance.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranFrom TB in regards to the lynch mobs in his, SidAlpha's, and Jim Sterling's YT comment sections.
Unsurprisingly a lot of the shitheads are flaming his channel with "CENSORHSIPCUCKCUCKCUCK" flavoured bile. From some of the comments on a few of their collective videos a lot of the nastiest stuff has been purged but it's pouring in faster than they seem to be able to handle without resorting to closing off comments.

Shit like that is why TB doesn't allow comments on his videos anymore.
Also, Alex Mauer is now in custody following this whole drama.
YouTube is escalating the counterclaims of all of the people she DMCA'd
too, so hopefully all the damage she did will be fixed soon.
TotalBiscuit on Dealing with the Hate
Disclaimer: It's a Kotaku article, for the ones who don't like going to this site.
We learn from history that we do not learn from historyI don't know how to hyperlink, but this thread has the (abridged) details:
So, Kotaku released an "apology" aimed at appeasing Anita Sarkeesian and the like, and as a result TB officially just completely cut off Laura K as a response
. (Keep in mind she was actually feeling suicidal yesterday, which she admitted on Twitter.)
So...good job TB. Way to look like the bigger man. At the minimum, this guarantees that neither Laura K nor Jim Sterling will touch anything TB does (like the Co-Optional) with a fifty-foot pole.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Kotaku did a puff piece on Complete Cookie about 'dealing with hate' that sort of forgot the fact that he spent most of 2014 and 2015 being a huge flaming bellend and doing shit like, say, calling Leigh Alexander an alcoholic and a washout over the whole 'gamers are dead' article thing. Oh, and jumping on the Zoë Quinn bandwagon with the excuse of 'oh I'm just reporting on this because I had her on the podcast once to be Totally Ethical.'
Oh and you know, guest starring on a couple of podcasts starring the shit-stirrers jumping on Zoë Quinn and then trying to act like a 'reasonable party' when he wasn't being a colossal dickhead.
Understandably, some people took umbrage with the article (one of them Sarkeesian), which caused some discussion on the interwebs, which apparently prompted this response from the Biscuit.
Summa summarum, it may be August 2017, not August 2014, but TB is still a nobhead.
Still not embarrassing enough to stan billionaires or tech companies.
She invented the controversy by implying that TB was a harasser and that Laura had purposefully released the article on the Gamer Gate anniversary which any sane person can tell was not the case.
She then pretended to be shocked when her followers harassed and doxxed Laura as a result, primarily because (I think) she's under the impression that harassment is only a one-way street; something her enemies do, but allies would never dream of.
The usual suspects are trying to throw TB under the business and apologise for the 'terrible coincidence' which has been so 'hurtful' for the nasty over-sensitive busy-bodies who took offence at an anti-harassment article.
Jim Sterling, naturally, stormed to the defence of his friend but later deleted tweets that could be seen as critical of the Queen.
I mean if we wanna play Spot the Conspiracy Theory it could also just be that the awful troglodytes who populate the Internet purely to harrass people who have the gall to not be Ethical Pro Consumer Gamer Advocates Please Drink Mountain Dew (tm) saw the opportunity to dogpile one of their favorite targets and blame one of their other favorite targets for it.
That makes about as much sense.
Still not embarrassing enough to stan billionaires or tech companies. While I have defended Anita in the past in certain respects, her claims that the whole "anniversary" thing was planned is clearly not defensible. While she isn't responsible for what her fans/"fans" do, she is responsible for the original controversial tweet that started this shindig. Simultaneously, TB is not responsible for what his fans/"fans" do, but he is responsible for venting his anger on a woman who is having suicidal thoughts.
Twitter drama aside, this does have the potential to affect his future content, depending on how Maker Studios, Jesse Cox, and/or Dodger respond. We'll see how this shakes out, but it's not looking good for anyone involved.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)so apparently this story
blew up and made kotaku print this one...
And you guys are saying that TB has no right to be pissed off at that second one? Umm Wait, What?... it's like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Ugh, You Tube's copyright system is the worst.
