He only mentioned it. That still isn't what this topic was about, or what we were wanting Fast Eddie to do. We just want someone (I believe someone said any admin could do it?) to add a line to the "How This Works" folder saying not to CamelCase namespaces.
So am I to assume from the locking of the "borked up custom title needs fixing" thread that submitting a new title for a page with a broken custom title works now? As I recall, once it had a custom title, that was it - get it right the first time, or else be forced to take it to staff to fix 'er up. Is that no longer the case?

Fast Eddie says about that thread:
"Closing this. It is confusing folks. Just go ahead and use the customizer on the menu to put in your requests."

Ok, let me clear this up:
Submitting a new custom title overrides the previous one, if the request is accepted.
THAT IS NOT THE CASE WITH THE CAMELCASE PROBLEM. If you submit a custom title with the namespace camelcased, then while the display on the page itself will change, it will not work on the wicks and we have no way to reset it, other than Eddie. Future custom titles can change the on-page display, but it will do nothing on the wicks.
That's how things have been until now. Unless Eddie changed something.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerThen why was that custom title thread closed? What are we supposed to do now about broken custom titles?
And I still have no clue how to submit a custom title that won't break. I am still sitting on a pile of custom titles that I broke that A. cannot be fixed, and B. if they were fixed, nobody has said there's any way to re-submit them correctly.
THIS is why we asked for a heads-up note on the Custom Title page.

Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.I meant about what do we ordinary tropers do about the CamelCase issue now that he decided to close that thread.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
Yes, thank you for that.
Eddie, we're not talking about you fixing the code for custom titles so this bug doesn't happen, we're talking about you adding some text to the custom title form to say how to type the page title. That should be like a ten minute fix.
Trust me, I'm an engineer!I'm a bit annoyed now. Fast Eddie said
"Just go ahead and use the customizer on the menu to put in your requests." But the whole reason we had that thread is because that doesn't work — and last I checked, this hasn't changed. How are we supposed to get broken custom titles fixed now?

The only idea I see there is to make an Ask The Tropers.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt's a place where we can get mod attention, and where it's clearer whether or not there is a response. It's not where I'd go at first, but when one method isn't getting answered then it serves.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. The moderators can't do anything about this. It's entirely on Eddie to fix whatever the programming glitch is that messes up CamelCase namespaces in the custom titles. Until/unless he devotes the time to doing it, we're all stuck.
Edit: I can't type all of a sudden.
