Upload your saves to your PSN cloud, sign in on their machine, download the games from PSN on your account, and redownload your saves to it. You should be able to play that way.

I can play my saves without being on a system that own the game? Cool! Can I do that with any game or only certain ones?

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. If you can log in to your account on his PS 4 you should be able to download your uploaded saves/digital games, but there's the whole installation issue to deal with. Depending on circumstances and what you're wanting to play It may or may not be better to just take yours with you and plug it in.

PSN ID: FateSeraph Congratulations! She/TheyI'm only planning on doing it with a few small games. Samurai Shodown and Towerfall, maybe Wand Wars. The largest game I was thinking of doing it for was Armello, which could possibly be an issue.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. Before you leave, go to your account in the settings section of your PS 4, find the activate as main PS 4 option, and deactivate. After setting up your account on your friend's PS 4, do the same, but activate it this time. That should clear up any issues with installation. Just remember to deactivate before you leave. You can only deactivate remotely once every six months.
the color todayAny recommendations for an external HDD?
Just yesterday my house was burglarized, with both my PS 4 and Wii U being stolen amongst a bunch of other items. Not a good day for me, at all.
Now, I've read on some posts a couple of years old on Reddit that it's possible to track down your PS 4 via it's MAC address and serial#. Problem is, when I contacted Sony Customer Support, they denied knowledge of any such procedures and said there's no way for them to track the stolen system.
I have the serial# since I saved the console box, but I don't seem to have a means of tracking the MAC (that, or I just haven't figured it out on my comp yet - the router isn't proving to be much helpful). Any suggestions on how to proceed further?

I've never heard of anything like that. Sorry to hear that happened.
Best I could say is scrounge Reddit even further if you haven't already.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!My Sympathies. Same thing happened with my XBOX - MS customer support denied they could do anything, but then admitted they could track IP addresses via the XBOX SN. But they wouldn't release that info to me. Think (here in the UK) that'd have required the serial number (Which we didn't have as we'd thrown the box out) as well as a court order.
And even then, the police wouldn't have followed through because that's a lot of hours and work to track down a single console.
Condolences.
From the PlayStation UK Twitter page:
I just bought a Pro. Come on!
I think I remember something about Sony filing a patent (or something like that) for a PlayStation version of the Nintendo Switch.
Could this be that? I don't know if they aborted that patent or what...

This is likely just a racing game bundle.
Alright, so, I'm having a small problem and so far no fixes I've found have worked. Up until about a week ago I had no problems uploading videos to Youtube, but now every time I go to upload it asks me to sign in to Youtube. I sign in, and usually it generates a security email and I confirm that it's me signing in on a 'new' device (even though the accounts have been linked for months), and then it tells me the accounts are linked. After all that though, it just goes back to asking me to sign in again, and it's exactly the same every time, and it's starting to drive me mad.
Anyone know what to do about this, or even where and what the problem is?
I guess I wonked myself and took that 2-day free PS Plus BS trial for Borderlands, when there was a 14-day free trial hidden on the PS store.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Are you ready for Paris Games Week 2017? Because Sony definitely is.
Bump.
So the PlayStation Experience is starting in a few hours and we're already getting announcements like:
- MediEvil Remastered
- The Last Guardian VR edition
- WipEout: Omega Collection VR
Should we discuss/live react to this year's PSX here or should we make a new thread for PSX in general?
Keep it here, I think, give this thread a bit of life :P
Indie Stylish Action game Lost Soul Aside will be shown off at the PSX and is playable there.
Here's the OP movie for the demo:
<impressed whistle>
That's an indie game? It's really fast-paced for one. I reckon it's as fast as your usual AAA action-adventure hack-and-slash game.
Also, that soundtrack is beautiful even though it clashes with the imagery of a swordsman wiping the floor with cave monsters.
...Maybe there's a reason for the mismatching of imagery and soundtrack?

Bump.
Official Livestream: YouTube Edition (sign-in required):
Double bump:
Rick And Morty Virtual Rickality is coming to PlayStation VR!
Triple bump.
Okay, so apparently they're not doing a big conference thing for PSX this year.
I guess because E3 wasn't as hot as they would've liked.
Eh, fine. I've got real life stuff to deal with anyway, so later, you guys.
So... here's a probably stupid question. I'm going out of town to visit a friend who also has a PS 4, but who is interested in playing the games that I have from PSN. Is there a way to transfer my user id to their PS 4 temporarily and play the games off of that, and transfer back later, or am I going to have to take my PS 4 with me?
