I've been watching his stuff for a while now, and while he may not have the best filming equipment (and his storylines are a bit...embarrassing to watch at times), he more than makes up with it in the sheer amount of effort he puts into his research and critiques. He's probably one of the most thorough reviewers of pop culture I've ever had the pleasure to watch. His reviews of the Peanuts specials (some of which I hadn't even heard of, most of which I've probably seen but didn't remember much of) are especially a hoot.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I admittedly don't pay attention to storylines if reviewers do them.
Glee, Season 3, and this review is rather savage.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I enjoy some of this show, but I think that the lowest point I had with it is the reviews of the For Better Or For Worse specials, where he talks a bit about Anthony, and promptly uses the worst defence you could ever give the guy, the "Nice Guy" defence. Saying that Anthony doesn't deserve hate simply because he's a "Nice Guy" and he deserves love doesn't work all that well.
This hand of mine is burning red! It's glow is calling me to defeat you!I like the reviews, and find him underrated. I will agree that his review of "For Better or For Worse" is not a good review, and his technical style is rather mediocre, but he seems devoted, honest, and informative about what he reviews.
His voice does not bother me at all. In fact, I find it pretty unique.

Very hit a miss. not a full fan, but he's alright for the most part
Adventures in Wonderland! I actually remember watching it as a kid!
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Oh goddamn it! He did the EXACT thing I wanted to do in case I ever did an Internet review! Though in my case I'd probably try to pad it out not with a black screen but random footage just to fool preview popups.
Pinky Elmyra And The Brain for today's episode...it's even worse than I could've imagined.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.BUMP.
A criminally underrated web show in my opinion. I found out about it during 2011 but I never properly watched his videos outside of his Family Guy Summer Spectacular but I started to watch more and got intrigued.
Around the same time I got tired of Benthelooney (Nice person in real life and I still do watch his videos as I am a loyal fan, but not a fan of his Nostalgia Critic esque approach in the revival ), checking this series out was worth it. Just wish it was more popular.

And the thread is now revived.
Next week, so I hear, Rowdy C will be reviewing the one Spike TV animated show he hasn't gotten to just yet...
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I've started watching TV Trash. -read: OBSESSED with learning about bad tv, because it makes me laugh, and this show happens to be about it-
AKA Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon. I wonder what his views on it are.
Given that he's going to do it on TV Trash, I don't think he'll be very complimentary.
And honestly, I wouldn't blame him; there is a reason that many fans of the first show, like me, don't like the series. The reason being that it took everything people liked about the first series and turned it Up To Eleven not realizing it worked best when restrained.
At worst I could say it was a caricature of the original show, sort of an awful parody.
I wonder if he likes the original show, though. He admitted to not being a fan of South Park or Ed Edd N Eddy...

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."He does have reviews full of praise, though—his Back To The Future animated series review, for instance (if I recall correctly). He tends to be more fair and balanced (if you excuse the phrasing there) than a lot of other reviewers I've seen online. I can't see him liking it, though, likely for the reasons you mentioned.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.He had a separate series for that, I thought.
I'm not sure he likes the original show either, but then again, he was a fan of early Family Guy so who knows?
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Same series, he just happens to call them "TV Treasures" within the episode.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here....and I'm kinda disappointed.
I was right - not only is he not a fan of Ren And Stimpy, he's not a fan of any of the original Nicktoons. But he at least doesn't hate them; he was just never interested in those.
And ye gods, the voices of Ren and Stimpy in this show are OFF.
If Rowdy did know more about the show, though, it'd be even frigging worse for him!
When the best show on your animation block is reruns, you know you're in deep shit.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Well, we've got Brickleberry. Lord save us.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Oh dear, I fear this will be a loud review.
Is Brickleberry still even on the air?
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!I'll take too loud over too soft any day. That's my biggest problem with The Cartoon Hero, is that his delivery is too soft and flat a lot of the time.
Not a value judgement, just a comment regarding his reaction to the show. I guessed it would make him angry...and I was correct.
Answered my own question there. Ugly Americans gets canned, yet this witless tripe gets the thumbs-up for a second season?

Anyone watch TV Trash? I found him when cleaning up links to Baby Blues, and decided to check him out since I remember that being a bad show.
He's actually pretty good. Most of his jokes work, his plot and side characters are decent, and I love that he's tackled a lot of stuff that few or no others have done already (Shasta Mc Nasty, Cop Rock, Home Alone 4, Gary The Rat — although I disagree heavily with his opinion of that one). He also does stuff that he thinks is genuinely good, like Western Animation/Dilbert.
I've heard some people complain about his being overweight and having a loud, nasal voice, but IMO his voice is barely any different from Linkara's. (And like Linkara, he voluntarily decides to keep the profanity and vulgarity to a minimum.)
Check him out here: http://blip.tv/RowdyReviewer
