In every country, every state, and every community... order is required. Without the concept of 'order', there would be no such thing as a government or even a sense of peace. The greatest example of order and peace may be the great land of Milvallen; a land founded by a simple bastard child named Tirion Kadarox which was filled with nobles and just lords who reigned and ruled with hearts filled with justice. The land of Milvallen was one that all sought to protect, and it was the ideal utopia that the world desperately wanted. A simple man had prospered, succeeded, and had created a land where all could live with equality; those who were unwanted now had friends, the once hated were now loved, those who could not find employment based upon their race no longer had restrictions, and most of all there were no longer any conflicts. They had called it a foolish dream that could never exist... yet it became real.

The mighty, yet short elves that lived under the earth in their fortresses of metal and iron called Titanforge, and who who gained the title of 'Dwarves' produced the rich tools and materials for Milvallen. Alongside their even shorter yet equally intelligent companions, the Gnomes, they had produced powerful artificial weapons called “Cyber Arts”. More as a procedure than an actual weapon, the Dwarves and the Gnomes had came up with a way to incorporate actual technology and weapons into mortals... effectively creating the fearful race of 'Cyborgs', and even 'Cybrids' (a robot with a human brain).

As the Dwarves and the Gnomes advanced with their technology, their brothers and sisters who lived upon the surface ruled over the Mossheart woods as the Elves in the fairytales, alongside the kind pixies and gentle fairies. While the Elves tended to the plants and the earth, the pixies and the fairies had guided those lost in the woods, and had shared their knowledge of healing and magic to the alchemists and mages of Salus, the capital of Milvallen.

While the races of the forest and the earth were busy with their work, nature itself was tended to by the trolls, orcs, and goblins who traveled and recruited those who would eventually be called the “Nættir”. The Nættir were composed of the ents, the animals, and the elementals of the earth. Led by the mighty White Stag itself, the Nættir and the trolls, orcs, and goblins had ensured that nature would stay tame, and that they would assist the humans of Salus with their concept of 'Peace'.

Many, many more races and groups of beings both exotic and plain had joined together in unison in the lands of Milvallen... until the strongest and mightiest race of them all had finally joined; The Dragonkind, and their many Dragonflights. The Dragonflights, composed of the Red, Blue, Green, Bronze, Twilight, and the strongest yet smallest flight of them all, Chromatic, had joined the alliance of Salus and shared with the mortals their knowledge. The Red Dragonflight shared with the races their knowledge of strength and endurance; The Blue Dragonflight their knowledge of magic and sorcery; The Green Dragonflight their knowledge of healing and nature; The Bronze Dragonflight their knowledge of the binding of metal with flesh; The Twilight Dragonflight their knowledge of dark magic and the ressurection of the undead; and lastly the Chromatic Dragonflight, who helped enforce Tirion Kadarox's civilization... and who held the powers of all the other races in their veins.

Together, all the races and their leaders had united under Salus, and together with Lord Tirion Kadarox, the land of Milvallen became the utopia that all had desperately wanted.

Although... not even this utopia could last for that long.

While peace and freedom was given... in the shadows people who hungered for power and who wanted more and more had gathered in secrecy. Fantasies turned into conversations... conversations became ideas.... ideas became plans... and eventually fantasies became real as an organization known simply as the Imperium was formed. The Imperium, which was composed of many different races, began to destroy the order and peace that the forces of Salus had created together. However, even though they had many at their side, they were still weak compared to the forces of salus. And so... they turned to a forbidden method... one that would forever change everything, and unleash a new kind of horror upon the lands of Milvallen.

With their strongest necromancers and mages, and the blood of many innocents... they had performed a dark ritual that opened forth a massive dark portal from the ground. From the dark portal... spewed forth abominations of unspeakable horror. Creatures of horror with mangled flesh and limbs, exposed muscles and tendons were just a few things among the horrors. Surprisingly, there were even lust-inducing and seductive creatures as well... some that happily began to both torture and manipulate the hearts of men to their bidding.

After many years of this chaos, the Gods themselves decided to intervene and preserve the peace that had lasted for so long by sending their mightiest warriors. Some had called these divine warriors angels, however, some looked like abominations themselves. As the gods and abominations slew each other, and the armies of the gods fought against the forces of the dark portal in colossal battles, Lord Tirion's patience finally came to an end.

In an attempt to end this madness, Lord Tirion and the leaders of the other races met face-to-face with the forces of Imperium, and a mass war took place that ravished the lands of Milvallen which became known as “The Ragnarok”. The war, that took ninety-nine nights, lead to the death of many of the race leaders. Finally, on the hundredth day, Lord Tirion had finally fallen. Even though the forces of Imperium were finally defeated, they had still succeeded at their major goal; to kill all the leaders that held the utopia in check... which allowed the leader of Imperium to take control of the city of Salus. With the death of their leaders, the gods, and Lord Tirion, the utopia had collapsed and utter chaos came into action with the rule of Keva Batorion, the leader of Imperium.

The Dwarves returned to their underground kingdom Titanforge with the Gnomes, isolating themselves from the outside world; the Elves retreated to the Mossheart forest with the pixies and fairies, and proceeded to isolate themselves as well from the rest of the world due to the events that happened so quickly to them; the Nættir retreated with the White Stag, leading to crops to fail and natural disasters to ravage the lands; the orcs, trolls, and goblins reverted back to their tribes and their villages, and began hunting the forces of nature as savages; and finally... the Dragonkind was shattered once the Chromatic Dragonflight was wiped out during the events of The Ragnarok, with the rest of the Dragonkind being hunted by individuals of the other races in attempts to prove their valor, strength, and might.

The demons unleashed by the dark portal ravaged the lands of chaos with ecstasy, although their actions dwindled with the rise of the Vaticans; a group of holy paladins who aimed to cleanse the land. Although, they weren't the only guild to come into fruition after the events of The Ragnarok. The Creed, a guild made entirely of assassins and thieves who excel in eliminating enemies and stealing; The Chasers, a guild of free-lance mercenaries who take any task handed to them; The Mystic Hand, a guild of mages, witches, wizards, and necromancers who aim to expand their numbers and to find potential in those who are talented magically; The Bureau, a guild that serves Keva Batorion that is composed almost completely of Cyber Art users; and many, many more.

With only a corrupt and evil man who only seeks power and money and cared not for the state of the land, many people of Milvallen performed any sin they wanted, and committed any crime they felt like committing... for who would stop them? The great utopia of Milvallen had effectively fallen into a complete state of anarchy with almost no hope of redemption now that it was in the hands of an evil and uncarring man...

...almost, for fate has a cruel way of working... in that when there is order and peace, there must exist evil and despair... and where there exists evil and despair, there must also exist good and hope.

Before the gods were slain, they left behind artifacts called “Vápnir” in order for new heroes to find them. The Vápnir may be weapons... but they are actually living beings created from the flesh and bones of the gods. Things such as hunger and sleep do not exist for them, and their immunity to diseases and poisons were far beyond those of mortals alongside their physical abilities. The Vápnir also had abilities of their own... something unique to them alone; an 'ace in the hole' as one would say. Each Vápnir was granted a name from the tales of old by their respective god that matched their unique abilities... such as Arthur, Alexander, Robin Hood, Hercules, Gilgamesh, Perseus, Zeus, and many, many other names.

The Dragons that remained breeded and left behind eggs that were incapable of being destroyed by the tools of mortals. While it would take many years for these eggs to hatch... these eggs were able to hatch far quicker than before. The reason for this was because of the trait of dragons to grow and to adapt to their environment... and since the land of Milvallen was now utter chaos, the dragon eggs began to hatch quicker in order to survive in the harsh lands. These mighty new dragons would grow, and take humanoid forms in order to blend in with the lives of the mortals... and whether they fought for good or evil would depend on both themselves, and those who may have influenced them.

With the rise of the dragons reaching their ears... the creatures and the Nættir made their presence known once more to the world with the White Stag, now older and far stronger than before leading a new force behind him; The Great Beasts. These new creatures are those that are told only in tales and stories; unicorns, gorgans, chimeras, harpies, sirens, minotaurs, pegasuses, gryphons, centaurs, kitsunes, Lamias, Hydras, and Phoenixes are only a small list of the creatures that have sided behind the White Stag. Like the dragons, the Great Beasts are capable of taking a mortal form, a hybrid form, their true form... and anything in between.

As the forces of nature and the mighty dragons returned in secrecy, the mystical races returned as well... showing themselves to the world once more alongside the powerful magical users who had all once sided with Lord Tirion. Although, they were not the only ones who had decided to return to the world either. The remaining creatures hailed as Angels, having reproduced and rekindled their numbers, returned to face the dark creatures now dubbed as demons and to send them back through the dark portal. However... some of the demons have rebelled, and have taken a 'lighter' side to their killings, and have taken to forming a temporary truce with the Angels in order to combat the demons who prey upon the mortals without remorse.

Though, even in this chaos... new heroes were born. Champions, Chosen, Guardians, and even Heroes are what these new faces have been called. Those born from within their races without the benefits of being gifted magically or having found a Vápnir. These heroes fight just like how Lord Tirion did all those years ago... with nothing but their skills, wits, and work. Whether they be engineers capable of building turrents, vehicles, and machines of war; hunters and rangers who have slain the strongest of beasts; a free-lance warrior who has become a veteran in the fields of fighting and surviving; or even a wielder of Cyber Arts with enough augmentations made to their body that they are capable of defeating wave after wave of opponents... they have all made a name of themselves. And they are all capable of handling their own in a fight.

Every day more and more heroes have been rising and taking a stand against the anarchy that has assaulted the land of Milvallen... freeing those who are suffering, defeating bandits, slaying rogue demons, and other heroic feats.

But... rumors has it that Keva has taken notice of these actions... and is plotting something... something to get rid of all these heroes, dragons, and races so that he may continue to rule the land of Milvallen in its anarchy state. Some say that the reasons for this is because he has gone mad with the power he has wrongfully stolen and refuses to lose it... but others say that voices can be heard when Keva is alone... voices that do not belong to him and that they are influencing and manipulating him. Is any of it true...? Perhaps... or perhaps not.

Nonetheless... What shall befall the land of Milvallen? Will the heroes rise and face the threat of Keva, and stop him before he carries out his plans? Will the heroes instead decide to side with Keva and enforce his rule? Or will the heroes form their own guilds and communities... unite the races, and form their own nation?

How will you influence Milvallen?

Annnddd this is my monster of a RP idea that was inspired a lot by many Animes, Video Games, and other R Ps which popped into my head from my long hiatus due to real life issues, though, I am 100% set on seeing this one through till the very end!

Main elements are from Anarchy Reigns, Guild Wars 2, Princess Mononoke, Lord Of The Rings, Fate Stay Night, and The Struggle for Aldaris (I received Daltar's permission in case anyone was wondering). There's a ton of other elements from various other sources and what not, but the list would take far too long and I am quite lazy... I'm sorry! >.< Though I will more than happily give credit if someone requests it!

Basically, players will be able to play from many different races and classes, and will be able to pursue their own path/goals in the RP. While the 'main' plot will be to take down Keva, this RP will also be focusing on interactions with others, character development, survival, and dealing with the current state of Milvallen.

Pv P scenarios will probably also show up as well, along with much PvE scenarios, though the former will most likely vary depending upon the types of characters we have.

General R Ping rules also apply. No auto-hitting and Godmodding especially. If you think it's a bad idea, it probably is a bad idea and you should run it through with both me and the other players before doing it.

So, is anyone interested in this? Also, if there's any questions or concerns I'm more than happy to answer them!

Important Information (This section will be updated often, so keep an eye on this)

The Major Races

(When creating a character from one of the races below, one does not have to exactly follow with the information below, and should see it is more as a guideline or an 'idea' on creating your own character, and their traits. If you want to deviate from the information and create say a Pixie warrior or a Dwarf necromancer, then by all means go for it! Heck, I encourage it! Although, in order to keep 'some' balance, do consider this a warning that their effectiveness may not be on the same level as say a Orc Warrior, or an Eleven necromancer who are more suited for those kind of jobs/classes.)

  • Humans: Your everday mortal race. Usually considered the most balanced and fair among the races, they are agile, strong, and fairly intelligent. Able to do any kind of work and task, they are well respected by the many races. Nothing much else to say about them, for we all know how humans work.

  • Elves: The 'fair' and 'noble' race. There are two kinds of Elves, the Forest and the Earth Elves, the latter commonly dubbed as 'Dwarves' due to being short. Both kinds of Elves care deeply for the planet, and nature. Both are extremely intelligent, and they have very long lifespans, the oldest ones living to reach around a thousand years.
    • Forest Elves: The common 'fairy tale' story of the two, the Forest Elves are well versed in the arts of archery, crafting, hunting, sorcery, and much more. Some Common Racial Traits include being able to understand the language of the other races and listen to the voices of the animals and nature itself, heighten agility, being able to cast quicker spells, and having heightened resistance to poisons and other ailments.
    • Earth Elves/Dwarves: The shorter counterpart to the Forest Elves, the Earth Elves are what many consider to be 'Dwarves'. They are highly intelligent, resourceful, a tad hot-blooded, and are well in-tune with technology. It is common to see Dwarves as either warriors or engineers. Common Racial Traits include reduced height, low agility, high endurance and resistances, and a slight weakness to ale.
  • Pixies: Small mischieveous little creatures who work with the Forest Elves. They are one of the smallest of the races, and usually prefer to hide rather than fight. Although, their knowledge of magic is often compared to those of the Blue Dragonflight. They can either be with or without wings, and they are often called 'Explorers' due to their curious nature. Common Racial Traits include very high agility, smallest stature, knowledgable in magic, and flight.
  • Faeries: One of the more mystical races, the Faeries range from pixie size to human size and are often mistaken for 'spirits'. Their healing magic is often unmatched, and they are well in tune with nature alongside the Forest Elves and the Pixies. Unlike the Pixies, the Faeries are far more modest, polite, and kind. Common Racial Traits include superior healing magic, mystic mind (their spells are more powerful than one from say a human), shapeshifting, and flight. One of their prominent weaknesses is that they can never tell a lie, and that they dislike the words 'thank you', for they see it as a sign of good deeds being forgotten, and would prefer a gift that will guarantee remembrance.
  • Nættir: The 'forces of nature' so to speak. The Nættir are powerful in that their kind ranges from the simple house mouse to the most mystical of Sacred Beasts, the pegasus, and elemental creatures. Led by the White Stag, or in their tongue 'The Spirit of All Forests', their strength and power is mighty. Due to their sheer numbers and different races, their Racial Traits are all dependent upon the kind of creature they are, however, they all share the ability to shapeshift into a 'human' looking appearance, their true forms, a hybrid form, and anything in-between.
  • Demons: Vicious, enticing and sometimes even alluring creatures, the Demons are the abominations that poured through the dark portal into Milvallen. There are many who fall under the Demonic Race, such as imps, vampires, succubuses, incubuses, onis, alps, and even a few undead who serve the Demons such as dullahans, ghosts, zombies, and skeletons. Racial Traits are usually dependent upon the exact type of demon, however, they all share a weakness to holy/divine artifacts and magic. They are also all highly resistant to curses and dark magic.
  • Angels: Righteous and mystical, the Angels are the 'heavenly' beings sent by the gods to battle the Demons of the dark portal, and remove their influence from Milvallen. The angels themselves range from elegant and beautiful creatures, to abominations who could be compared to the Demons. Common Racial Traits include flight, affinity for holy/divine magic, yet they have a slight weakness to curses and dark magic.
  • Dragons: Often called the strongest of all the races of the world, the Dragons are the most feared and influential of all the races. Common Racial Traits include being able to communicate with any race, flight, shapeshift between humanoid, hybrid, true form, and mixtures such, resistances to ailments, and their natural Dragonflight abilities. There are a total of six different types of Dragons, which are all called “Dragonflights”, however, one type has been completely wiped out.
    • The Red Dragonflight: The Dragons of the Red Dragonflight all have a type of amber-colored scales, and have breaths of fire. These dragons specialize in brute force and are capable of dishing out massive physical damage, while being able to receive much damage in return. They are often hot-blooded and hot-tempered, and are natural warriors. Often called the 'Greatest Offense of the Dragonflights'.
    • The Blue Dragonflight: The Dragons of the Blue Dragonflight all have a form of blue-colored scales, and have breaths of ice. These dragons specialize in casting mighty 'attack' magic, and are often called philosophers, scholars, and the 'true' magicians of the world. They are often calm and scientifical.
    • The Green Dragonflight: The Dragons of the Green Dragonflight all have a type of green-colored scales, and have breaths of healing. These dragons specialize in healing and 'nature' magic (forming small hurricanes, storms, etc.) and are capable of communicating directly with the Earth itself. Oracles and Dreamers are often what these kind of Dragons are called.
    • The Bronze Dragonflight: The Dragons of the Bronze Dragonflight all have a type of metal for their scales, and are capable of breathing breaths of lightning. These dragons are capable of having Cyber Arts and other technology grafted into them, communicating with machines, and have the strongest defense out of all the other Dragonflights, however, they are far slower than the others. Often called Fortresses, the personalities of these dragons vary greatly, as does their abilities.
    • The Twilight Dragonflight: The Dragons of the Twilight Dragonflight all have a dark-colored type of scale, and are capable of breathing breaths of poison. These dragons are specialize in necromancy, curses, and even witchcraft. Often called Lifebringers and Plaguebearers, these dragons are very mystical, and are often called wretched.
    • The Chromatic Dragonflight: The strongest of all the other Dragonflights, these dragons all have an unusual color to their scales... something 'heavenly' or 'alien' even. Not much is known about these dragons since they were wiped out, except that they held the powers of the other Dragonflights in their veins, and that they were called the 'Lords' of the Dragonflights.

Other Info

(Things such as Cyber Arts, Guilds, and Locations will be added here later on)

  • Cyber Arts: The weapons designed by the Dwarves and the Gnomes, the Cyber Arts are actually a 'general' term for cybernetic augmentations. These augmentations can range from simple cybernetic eyes, to having your entire body replaced with a mechanical suit and the only remaining parts of your mortality is your brain. While Cyber Art wielders can be extremely powerful, they all share the common weakness of being susceptible to electricity, being hacked, and being shunned by others due to defying their previous mortal/normal selves. Many Cyber Art wielders have turned to follow Keva and his reign, due the state of anarchy he brought forth. With no rules and no laws, the once shunned and frowned upon outcasts now have a world that they can call their own. Breathing underwater, immunity to toxins, heightened resistances, and 'flexibility' in combat are just a few of the common and shared traits among the Cyber Art wielders.
    • Cyber Arts usually fall into certain categories, or types. These categories being: Steamrollers, Tanks, Bombers, Sentinels, and Infiltrators.
      • Steamrollers: The more 'balanced' of the Cyber Art types, Steamrollers don't excel in any one ability, yet they do not falter in any one ability as well. These type of wielders are more for combat purposes, and are the most common. Physical Weapons, positron blades, titanium blade implants, hidden cannons/guns, attack drones, and nanomachines are fairly common among the Steamrollers.
      • Tanks: The 'heavier' of the Cyber Art types, Tanks are fairly slow, but are incredibly bulky and can do above average damage. These types of wielders are usually the first to initiate a conflict or battle, and usually draw the fire and attention from others. Composed mostly of those whose augmentations compose roughly 80% of their body, or cybrids. Hardened defenses, barriers, heavy physical weapons, capable of picking up large items, and being able to take on multiple foes at once are common among the Tanks.
      • Bombers: The 'offensive' orientated type of Cyber Art wielders, Bombers are incredibly fast and are capable of dealing tons of damage. Their greatest drawback is that they are incredibly fragile, have the least amount of augmentations, and have lower defenses. They make up for this by having increased agility and reflexes. Cannons, hidden guns, attack drones, and positron weapons are fairly common to see among Bombers.
      • Sentinels: The 'support' type among the Cyber Art wielders, Sentinels do not excel in direct combat, but instead assisting their allies and providing an analysis during battles. Sentinels are capable of using attack drones, sentry drones, nanomachines, barriers, and determining weak points due to their visual augmentations.
      • Infiltrators: The 'stealthy' type of Cyber Art wielders, Infiltrators, like Sentinels, do not excel in direct combat, but instead scouting and infiltrating encampments. As the only type of wielder to have a perfect stealth cloaking mechanism built into them, they are some of the most feared of all the Cyber Arts wielders. Their greatest drawback is that they too are fragile, but their enhanced agility and stealth abilities more than make up for this. Cloaking shields, hacking tools, hidden-blades, and hidden-guns are common among the Infiltrators.

[up] Hm... Maybe, though it depends on how psychotic you are planning for them to be. While I am allowing villainous characters in, psychotic serial killers may be pushing it a bit. Well, like I said, it mainly depends on what you're thinking for your character.

Also! I'm sorry for the delay in responding, but I'm happy to say that some information on the major races has been added to the first post, along with a character sheet!

I'm attempting to fill this out right now, but I have a question, because this was bugging me a little: When it comes to the Chromatic Dragons, when you said that they were the "smallest," did you mean in their physical size, or their population numbers before the Ragnarok?

@ Aevum: Ah, thank you for that. I'm assuming that this means that they never had the chance to create a near-indisctructible egg of their own before extinction hit them—while I think that having it otherwise could work, it would probably make sense for that particular species to be barred? If so, I can always just rewrite what I wrote already (the sudden writing inspiration actually kind of scares me a little, and having a character that insists on having identity issues isn't helping) and just switch my character to either Blue or Twilight.

@Naomi: Yeah. Unfortunately, that particular species is barred, and is more for background/plot purposes. Major reasons it is barred is because I believe the species would likely draw attention away from the other Dragonkind Races, and I can see them being abused due to their greater advantages. ( Also, it's good to hear that you're getting your spark back~ And a character with identity issues does sound quite interesting as well~!)

[up][up] I will say that as of right now, I am loving this 'civil' gnoll~ [lol]

I have plans to make an incubus/succubus and perhaps a nature spirit of some sorts.

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serial

@Aevum: Can an Angel side with the original demons, or is it just the rebelling ones?

@ Taco: Oh boy, that should be interesting. XD

@ Aevum: Alright, cool. Surprisingly, I can still make things work rather well which means yay, I can still keep my identity issues.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to be looking for inspiration for a Necromancer Dragon. wink

[up][up] Angels actually can side with the original demons as Fallen Angels, however, don't expect the Fallen Angels to go well with the other races once/if they find out. >.>

[up] Hm... I honestly cant remember there ever being a dragon that was also a necromancer except for Zhaitan. All I can say is good luck! >.<

[up][up] Ah, perfectly fine. I'm still in the middle of writing my profile, but let's just say that I state that I have "identity issues" for my Dragon lady for a reason. wink
