If we're talking about regulation games, the Blackhawks are the only ones left.

Ouch, the Blues really got stomped by the Predators today. Everything that could go right for Nashville it did today. Also, Calgary beat the Red Wings, so there's going to be a bit of competition at Central for now.

A lot of things are going so well for the Blackhawks. They're starting to look like that 2010 squad that won the Stanley Cup; they may actually do it again.

I thought no one was going to get the Stanley Cup this season?

They play like garbage for 3 periods and then lose in a shootout to the Yotes

If it weren't for the fact that they get a point, I would've preferred them to lose in regulation.

The Maple Leafs are really being road warriors at this point and some of the players are starting to wake up at this point. If they could somehow work some consistency at home, I think they can be more dangerous than they are right now.

Thomas Vanek's production is definitely making him a darling for fantasy leagues, but I can't help but wonder if it's enough because the Sabres definitely need to work out a few issues and produce more beyond what Vanek and Jason Pominville gives them. That's not going to cut it in their division if it runs away from them, especially if Toronto begins to step up.

Also, do you know why Jaromir Jagr, Teemu Selanne and Martin Brodeur keep playing the level they still have today? Because they're all Time Lords.

Rather productive. He just gotten his second 4-point game on the season following a harrowing game against the St. Louis Blues tonight.

He's also on one of my fantasy teams at Yahoo.

Well, the Sharks are second in the division, but there is a bit of concern when the Blue Jackets score 6 goals on you.

Is anyone else not surprised that Bettman used to be an assistant to the NBA's David Stern?

As long as you're breaking records you're doing fine, eh? Eh?

...Eh?

EDIT:[down]I was trying to comfort Sharks fans with some black humour. Maybe I should've included a Pot Hole.

Word on the grapevine said that Jonathan Toews didn't like it when Joe Thorthon was being a diver just to get a penalty, so he got to him, hit him around a bit and they they fought. And you know what was the kicker that may have been a mini Dethroning Moment Of Suck for tonight? Toews won that fight and he's isn't exactly an enforcer to begin with! Worse yet, the Sharks had a 4-minute power play because he had been tagged with another misconduct penalty that one of the Hawks served and THEY STILL DIDN'T SCORE. The icing on the cake was that they lost the remainder of the power play when Patrick Marleau got tagged for interference.

This is pretty much the microcosm for San Jose so far ever since they won their first 7 games. What a shitload of fuck, huh?

And the Blackhawks have kept their big streak going by beating the Canucks in a shootout. Although I have to be a bit worried for future games because this isn't the first time Chicago has squandered leads of 2 goals or more and that's gonna hurt them sooner or later. Still, I think goaltending will be quite a strength for them in the coming days and provided that Corey Crawford still plays well after recovering from injury, not many teams will score on the Blackhawks often.

Also, the Kings have started to wake up recently. They're gonna be in quite a war from here on out and they'll need as many wins as they can get. Why hasn't anyone talked about the Canadiens yet? (I'm also guilty of this, BTW) They're giving a big dogfight to the Bruins, Devils and Penguins for the top spot in the Eastern Conference and they're very solid right now. What a difference it makes in having Andrei Markov out there, P.K. Subban being on the ice (Though Katie Baker had addressed the question to why didn't no other team tried to give Subban a new deal to pry him off of Montreal) and Carey Price is doing great. Now it's time to see if they can keep it up.

My hometeam is kicking ass and taking names. That's enough for me. The players are nice guys and I'm happy for them. I'd buy them coffee at breakfast next time I see them there, but I'm pretty sure the owner doesn't charge them anything. It's happy times here at least.
