[up][up]Um... you know that cable and satellite feeds aren't free, right? Sure, you can watch TV for free, but you'll only have three channels.

Oh, that's right, America doesn't have TV licenses. Derp.

But still, there are ads, and things like HBO still charge a monthly fee.

Personally, for Marvel and DC superhero stuff, I buy monthlies (unless it's an acclaimed story from the past that I missed), and trades for everything else. I don't know how healthy it is for the industry at large, but most people I know do the same.

And I'm coming from it differently, anyways. My family never had cable growing up and I haven't really watched TV since the stupid switch to digital. I miss the old rabbit ears.
