hazbin hotel seems to be doing fine despite the problems in the world.
yet that move forward with Fiona and Cake season 2 and didn't give it the meo meo season 2 treatment.
wait a minute, is SU produced under Warner Bros? I just went into the cartoon Network in general section and some people were saying the gumball revival isn't produced by WB or they don't have a part in any of that and I'm assuming that goes for other CN shows that isn't teen Titans Go or anything DC or Looney tunes related.
Well, since this one seems to go Amazon Prime...
"Cynicism is not realistic and tough. It's unrealistic and kind of cowardly because it means you don't have to try."I never got over that time travel exists in this show but was never important. I consoled myself by saying that there must some flaw with time traveling and that's why no one ever uses it.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I really want time travel to come back, because I really hate the series ended on the note Rose Quartz was worse than a monster. I really wish we'd be able to see her again and finally rebuild her humanity.
As long as this flower is in my heart. My Strength will flow without end.The whole point of Rose is that she's dead and gone for good. Thus she can never offer closure one way or another. Steven and the rest just have to deal with everything Rose left behind. In the end, they have to move on with their lives.

Disgusted, but not surprisedHonestly the time-travel artifact was a big time Early-Installment Weirdness of a different kind of world that the series had at first and should stay that because such an overpowered object breaks a lot of disbelief in the overall timeline and events
Prettiest Meta Knight Gijinka, nglAt this point, the only other characters who I could see using time travel are either Diamond loyalists (to go back and kill Steven to prevent Era 3) or White Diamond (to prevent the Rebellion and keep Pink Diamond from becoming Rose Quartz).
"Punishment is not the answer. Punishment is easy. It's lazy. Redemption is hard. Redemption makes you work."-Skulduggery PleasantI'm wondering if they'll introduce a character who was hurt by Pink and despite this whole moving on from the pink/rose stuff, depending on how it's written or whatever, could go into this weird debate on whether or not they are doing some Unintentionally Unsympathetic thing with her.
I say that because while I'm aware it was intentional to show her unsympathetic qualities I mean like in a way that makes it sound like there isn't any sympathetic qualities to her or they are just not that important? with a implication that the diamonds were right even though we were just told an OG series they were in the wrong with how they were treating pink.
I guess that's kind of a worry I have on the idea that they would make the diamonds Unintentionally Sympathetic when it comes to the Pink stuff if there is a little bit more emphasis on Pink's mistakes than the other three or like it's all for them but Pink is the main one and once again the catalyst for whatever the antagonists goals.
not to mention I feel like it would feel like if they continue to make pink/rose the major reason why they are doing what they're doing then I kind of feel like there's going to be an issue with writing things that way constantly with "so it's Pink's fault again" retreading what OG, the Movie and Future was doing with her.
feel like a rant, especially since we do not really know anything the antagonist and story lines other than that they are going to explore homeworld's past which is going to include the diamonds but there has to be at least some validity in that criticism if they do write things that way.
I'm sure Emerald might return, and it'd also be nice to see Citrine get an on-screen appearance. Also if Lars of the Stars takes place before the end of Steven Universe, it'd be nice to see more of the Great Diamond Authority and how their rule affects the day to day life of Homeworld.
I still don't know how I feel about it being pre-future like it's set during season 5 or anywhere that's before the movie or even future as I still want to see how things are in era 3 since people wanted to see an plotline involving some gems not liking era 3 and I always kind of assumed Aquamarine and Eyeball are sort of proof of that.
There was the Canon game, Unleash the Light, with the main antagonists being the garnets, Demantoid and Pyrope, that occurred at the very start of Era 3.
As Steven was working with gems that were going through decolonizing efforts, these garnets decided to take advantage in the Diamonds ceding power and authority to make whatever parts they could control as part of their own personal territory.
I would think that the people who are against Era 3 are either those who were privileged by the previous Era and didn't take too kindly to losing their previous stature like the garnets mentioned previously, or those who didn't agree with any of those in higher standing that were forgiven to make the transfer relatively bloodless and felt they weren't given proper reparations. Whether their claims are warranted depends on what their demands are and what attempts at reparations were made.

yeah that's pretty much what I mean and I just don't think Steven like fully ended that problem and somehow aquamarine and eyeball are the only ones that don't have a big issue with era 3 by the time Future rolls around.
reading some older posts when they mention these two are the ones who weren't redeemed (or however you phrase that) by Steven is sometimes kinda worded like Steven changed every single gems's mind.
Well the thing is those aren't rly the core themes the show runners wanted to explore. The show is really more about identity, love and relationships. The stuff with the Gem Empire and all the implications it carries are interesting from a lore perspective, but those themes of colonialism weren't really what the show was about. Is that the best way to write a series? Idk. It's a work of fiction though, it's not like Rebecca Sugar is a fascist imperial sympathizer. I think many of the older fans may have expected too much from a show that was primarily targeted at kids and teenagers

Anyway, it is arguably a dangerous game to let implications wear on one too much cause any work you might not expect can have them.
In a well written case, Goliath from Gargoyles and not too good, Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z.
Latter I think is comparable to Steven Universe or 2018 She-Ra villains or villains turned good, but while he has had some critics, he still gets some slack cut.
Hate to go there, but probably due to him being an adult male.😅😋
