Hey! New audio leak!
(OBVIOUSLY CONTAINS BIG SPOILERS FOR FUTURE!)
Dialogue. Very interesting dialogue with some really sweet BGM.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Mmm... Think I'll pass, then, at least for now. This better not be a long hiatus...
File name is pretty interesting though. Implications of there being another leaked clip aside, if it is from the finale, then that means Future's production is either complete or nearing completion.

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢I think the name is being tongue-in-cheek. The contents are not especially surprising, and I doubt it's from the finale.
And the audio is very clearly unfinished—it's voice recording and music without sound effects or fill-in audio (grunts or similar). The former is done a year or more in advance of airing, so even though it was uploaded it November 30th, that doesn't mean the episode it's from is almost done.

The linked post is not the original source. The original was on a site called dbree.org and has November 30th as a “created on” date.
The background music was likely added by the leaker, as it’s way too loud compared to the dialogue (which as previously stated is an early recording).

This is the page.
Are you sure you're not looking at the "Last Download" date or a reupload?
I was pretty sure there was an "Angsty Teenager" trope somewhere, which Steven's current characterization fits pretty well - but the closest I can find is Emo Teen, which has a number of external characteristics that Steven lacks.
Those are exactly the "external characteristics" I meant. Also since his hair is naturally black, we don't know whether he dyed it. ;)

Yeah, you're right, it's brown, it's just that kind of dark brown that looks black when there isn't excessive light on it.

Steven is not an emo!he's not dyed his hair black or started writing bad poetry
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverI really don't want Steven to ever turn fully human. Feel like it's a cheap way to solve his identity problems
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I agree it 'feels' cheap but how it happens could be totally surprising, there was suggestion on Reddit that the events of the movie effectively reset his Gem to pre Pink Diamond character development so everything he's experiencing his exactly what his mother went through
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverI don't really like that explanation either. Why can't Steven feel something independent of his mother? Teenage years are hard. The implication that Steven's only angsting because of his gem seems to contradict the message that Steven isn't Pink.

Oissu! To chime in on this. Steven's issues I think are the fact he is the only half human/half diamond in existence which would be inherently lonely and frustrating to deal with simply because he doesn't fit in either realm completely. Of course their is the obvious fact he inherited a lot of his mothers issues which wasn't something any kid should of been forced into. On top of all that before Future Steven was emotional support for most the adults around him (and his teen friends) to the point that he is so ingrained into doing that that he can't see himself doing anything else. Which is pretty much why he is upset that He feels the need to be needed.
Oh yeah and Steven is a teenager and its pretty obvious his human hormones and emotionally influenced diamond powers are not mixing well. I don't think his gem is inherently causing the angsting more likely the poor kids hormones are going nuts which happens with all teenagers (but he has the extra problem of it activating his powers in volatile ways), mental scars from nearly getting killed many times, and far too many responsibilities being lumped on him at a young age took a toll.
I am seeing quite a few parallels between the Diamonds and him though but I am pretty sure that is likely a result of the poor kid needing some therapy and being alone emotionally. It's worth noting that Steven started treating Cactus Steven like how White treated Pink or how Pink treated Spinel. He also seems to have a similar coping mechanism to his mother as she also had a garden back when she was a diamond.
It's rather sad how he is starting to repeat some of their mistakes but what people seem to be forgetting is that Steven is still a teenager atm and can grow out of it.

I remembered the movie artbook
was something I already paid for, and now find out it has a date (March 3rd) and what appears to be an actual cover (previously it just showed the movie's logo on a black background).
"End of an Era"
, another artbook covering the rest of the show, has its date listed as July 28. That gives some limit for how long Future will be, though even that is subject to change.
