That would be really great, I think. As much as the show does include the message that you're not obligated to forgive or keep interacting with your abusers, Lapis's personal arc and journey does involve a lot of that - either with Peridot, as a representative of Homeworld's army (even though Peridot was never in personal command of Lapis, or of any Lapises, I imagine), or Bismuth, as the one who actually put her in the mirror. We've already had some resolution with Peridot with the barn episodes and meepmorps, but honestly, I'll never get tired of episodes about those two, and I do hope we get at least one more.
That said, Onion and Ronaldo both now have more screentime in Future than Connie does, and that's a goddamn travesty.

Maybe I missed something, but has the show actually acknowledged that beyond the one flashback scene in Same Old World?
It's weird, really. The gem in that flashback was clearly meant to be Bismuth (those rainbow dreads are unmistakable), but I don't think either of them have brought it up since.
No beer?! But if there's no beer, then there's no beef or beans!Ah.
I guess it's possible that Lapis didn't get a good look at Bismuth before she got poofed. As for Bismuth... she probably poofed dozens of gems that day.
Still, it seems weird that they would throw in that detail if it wasn't going to affect the plot in any way.
No beer?! But if there's no beer, then there's no beef or beans!I think Rebecca Sugar said neither of them remembers that this was the first time they met.
Which inuniverse makes sense but it raises the question why they decided that it happened this way when they dont intend to do anything with it anyway. Feels like a waste of potential drama.

I dunno. I mean, Bismuth would probably feel real bad about it if she found out now.
Anyway, Crewniverse holiday card
from 2017. Talk about Mundane Utility.
So that's what happened in the pepperoni timeline.
see my completed Tangled (Varian) fanfic collection! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24467056/chapters/59049532It's certainly more. The opening alone shows two threats (Violent White Diamond and the red thing) while Maya Petersen mentioned boarding a Peridot-focused episode, none of which next two episodes ("Little Graduation" and "Prickly Pair") seem to be about.

Yeah, given Lapis's comment on how fusion was a prison, I think if she's going to fuse with anyone, it will be the focus of an entire episode and she will fuse with Peridot. Which I do hope becomes a future episode, I know the fanbase has been eagerly awaiting a Lapis/Peridot fusion for years, considering how Future is about tying up loose ends, it would be odd for it to just leave Lapis and Peridot's feelings on fusion unresolved.
