Speaking of which, Nicole Rodriguez uploaded some sketches of short-hair Greg (and a bunch of other things).

I love her Watermelon Tourmaline doodles so much

Her drawings in general are just so good.

I fully disagree with her opinion on Greg's hair though. Like I understand the significance of the act itself and the symbolism behind it, but man... I'm gonna miss it. Plus now there's that underlying obligation (probably not the right word) of showing Steg again just so we can see what his hair looks like now.

I swear if they do anything to Amethyst's hair I will riot

Amethyst will get poofed again and reform without hair so she's completely bald!

I really liked the Blue Bird episode, even though the pacing in it was...off. It’s nice to have characters who genuinely despise Steven as a person and not as Pink Diamond’s son.

Also I am LOVING just how Steven’s been over everyone’s crap lately. Some of my favorite moments from the main series were when Steven was a sass machine and putting people in their place. Now he’s doing it left and right with Jasper, the Diamonds, and recently with Aquamarine and Eyeball.

Also couldn’t Steven use his healing powers to make Greg’s hair grow back? Or does it not work like that?

An "attendance sheet" for all of the Corrupted Gems

I'm actually quite surprised half of them are still MIA

Given the bird monster seems to be corrupted SHARDS... Would uncorrupting her do her any good?

A lot of them are so bizarre, it'd be hard to make an identifiable humanoid form. Three of them didn't even make corrupted forms onscreen (of them, the Desert Glass and pyramid gem being corrupted gems raises a bunch of weird questions the crew probably don't want to bother with).

Given the bird monster seems to be corrupted SHARDS... Would uncorrupting her do her any good?
All of them taking the same form when the bird was split apart suggests they're whole gems that fused together after being corrupted, they're just irregularly-shaped.

Remember how Centipeedle had babies? None of those were Gems.

Bixbite also created little crabs.

The pyramid gem could possibly be explained by saying the pyramid itself (or at least part of it) was her form, which was already altered by the Obelisk and so didn't change when she was Corrupted.

Desert Glass... Creating a design based off a pillow wouldn't be too hard, I don't think, and if that fails they could just retcon it so she was just a Gem trapped in an object like Lapis was - though that then runs the risk of retreading Lapis' character should she get focus.

It's only really now, thanks to a classic binge or two, that I realize how much Steven reminds me of Arnold. Though more Steven as he is now than as he was, minus the rage issues of course.

It's kind of funny how Eyeball is the "smart" one amongst the Rubies, but is played more as the "stupid" one between herself and Aquamarine. Not that Aquamarine is much more effective than her these days: the two of them remind me a lot of classic comedic Those Two Bad Guys pairs from older cartoons.

Sunstone is so 80's-90's. The inner children of Sugar and the rest of the crew must be having a ball thinking up all the parodies they can pull with her.

Being less prone to talking tends to make one be seen as the "smart" one.

[up][up]That reminds me, my TRS proposal for Those Two Bad Guys has still not been checked by any of the admins...

There are also some uncorrupted gems whose corrupted forms we've never seen, such as Crazy Lace and Snowflake Obsidian.

EDIT: Evil Duo would actually fit the Aquamarine-Eyeball pairing pretty well, with the former as the Superego and the latter as the Id. They are not examples of Those Two Bad Guys based on the current definition (they don't provide exposition in their dialogue).

About three months before "Change Your Mind" aired, Rebecca Sugar was a guest on the podcast Talking Simpsons, discussing The Simpsons episode "Itchy and Scratchy & Poochie".

Sugar mentioned that, though Poochie was a pretty insulting parody of those kind of characters, it still inspired a strange sort of nostalgia.

The funniest thing is, halfway through "Very Special Episode" I literally did think "it'd be hilarious if they did a Sonic Sez' style bit with Sunstone, but that wouldn't make sense since it'd have to be very through the fourth wall."

And then they did one anyway. evil grinevil grin

I almost wonder if they thought of stuff like this first for Sunstone, before writing her into the finale last season. That said, Sunstone's basic personality is a no-brainer for Steven and Garnet's fused.

Speaking of, I wonder if we'll get a Ruby & Sapphire episode at some point.

I realized all of the deluxe soundtrack but "Drift Away" is available through most digital sources (WaterTower Music even put it up on Youtube for free).

Hearing Rebecca Sugar sing "Disobedient", apparently performing a duo with herself for the "Found" demo, and an acoustic demo of "Other Friends" are surreal.

The "concept" version of "Finale" is practically a different song:

Besides Gallant himself singing it, it has multiple stanzas not in the final version and a very different refrain.

And even as we take a final bow
Because of this I'll always think of how
There may be other battles to be won
My life unlike the story isn't done

Speaking of the movie, according to a Cartoon Network promotional video for 2020, it’s going to air again as a Sing-Along.

It’s funny that as few shows Cartoon Network reruns, they’ve already aired Steven Universe: The Movie several times.
