Mixed fusions make up their own names—unless they're just copying that of previous fusions with the same type combinations—but with fusions like Garnet, the resemblance is so strong, any Ruby+Sapphire fusions is likely to come up with that same name independently.

Garnets are also a category of gems, like quartz, which Blue Diamond listed several of, so none of them just go by "Garnet". (It was also a really clever way to have a Homeworld variation on Garnet's design.)
Obsidian is the one other gem fusion we've seen a singular version of—one of the Little Homeworld extras is (according to a model sheet) a Snowflake Obsidian. There's not much of a resemble besides mostly being a similar shade of black, but when a fusion is pitch black and practically made of lava, what else are you going to call her? Pitchblende?

Storyboard revisionist Nicole Rodriguez just finished her last day.
Even assuming she was working on the very last episode, that would mean Future just finished storyboard revisions, making the airing quite far away—maybe even over a year—though I wouldn't assume that's because there's a lot of episodes. (For reference, she started work on the movie in March 2018
.)
An attempt

Was looking at a picture
◊ of the mystery Aquamarine fusion and realized her eyes are different; the left one is an oval while the right one is a circle. So, it is indeed either Eyeball and Aquamarine, or Aquamarine and a tiny, defective red Pearl with an eye gem.

I consider that answer neither vague nor misleading. It feels more like avoiding yes or no for the sake of it.
I dont see how saying Gems are technology doesnt automatically mean that gems cant form naturally since technology by definition is artificial.
Even when the gem creators turn out to be natural ocurring mineral lifeforms like in that Star Trek episode with Abraham Lincoln it would still not make a difference if she answered no instead of her actual answer because those wouldnt be technology and therefore by her own statement not gems.
I got my copy of The Tale of Steven today.
It's only like twenty pages, but it's worth reading for this experimental thing with the pages you're best off just seeing yourself.
One thing I will say is that's pretty much specific about Pink/Rose, White Diamond, and Steven—the others aren't in it the same way.
It's Painting the Medium is what I'm saying.
And to reiterate, it's an incredibly short book. Trying to describe it any more would take more time than reading it.

I don't understand why people seem to think White Diamond is so different than the other Gems, or even the other Diamonds. She's like 1.5 times larger than Yellow and Blue, and we see that kind of height difference between other Gems of the same type, most notably between Quartz's. Her design is along the same lines as Yellow and Blue, and she has a physical gem visible the same way as every other gem. The only other difference is White's ability to control other Gems, but Yellow, Blue, and Pink have the same kind of crazy abilities like that, so I think that's just a Diamond thing.
Bismuth had one of the best dove ads too.
see my completed Tangled (Varian) fanfic collection! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24467056/chapters/59049532So Brendan Blaber (a.k.a. Jellopocalypse) had... quite the take
on Spinel (emphasis mine):
I'm just saying, if Spinel were a boy, everyone would be grossed out by her.
Y'all never met this person in real life, have you?
I don't agree at all.
I've seen how people react to male characters in similar situations and it's pretty much exactly the same.
Also the idea that what Pink did wasn't terrible just because Spinel was annoying is a pretty bad take.

This song needs more love.

They also confirmed awhile back that fusions can exist as regular Gems,so there are non fusion garnets out there somewhere
