-.... *sigh* I guess the imperial Diamond rulers are *staying* 'redeemed' of sorts (though given how the movie characterised and hinted towards them just being on Steven's side rather than actually being good,... hmmm)
- Bismuth, Peridot and Lapis are now part of the team??? (please don't end up being underused like Connie :/)
- Jasper and an (THE?) Aquamarine are still antagonists tho???
- is Spinel now Yellow Diamond's pet or what
- ... I think I like this new theme song more than the old one(s)

wait, where are you getting the idea that White Diamond is going to be an antagonist this season?
EDIT, MORE EASTER EGGS: ahahaha just had it pointed out to me on another forum that as a Freeze-Frame Bonus Nanefua now has Rubies for bodyguards

Yeah that is definitely an evil White Diamond.
Also, that Cactus Steven thing is freaky.
This song needs more love.
Wouldn't she have more body parts though?
Also has anyone pointed out the literal fucking dragon in the background?
And hah, I called the cookout being at night! Sweet.
Peridot's little "Here we are in the future~" at the end though. Cute.

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢So, seems like the villains of the new season will be who I'm guessing is another new Diamond. Maybe the Pink Diamond from before our Pink Diamond's time? Also Jasper again, looks like Amethyst just got her to behave temporarily. Two rogue Lapis's, that could be cool. Makes sense, with no more colonization, they lose their jobs of terraforming. That looks like Aquamarine, but different enough that I suspect that's her fused with a different Gem. And then there's the giant monster in the background, who I guess is a corrupted Gem of something powerful, maybe Flourite? It kind of looks like her. Oh yeah, and a bunch of Watermelon Stevens went rogue and fused into a cactus.

I get the feeling that the worm monster is not a gem and that it's intelligent going by the Death Glare it has.
What if the worm is a member of the species that created the Gems? And thus has direct sway over White, and Jasper who cares very much about following her intended purpose.

The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.![]()
What if it's the Sneople's leader? And the Sneople are not content that their world conquering weapons change their ways.

Prettiest Meta Knight Gijinka, nglAlso, Steven is wearing a black shirt instead of the blue one in the film.
Yeah, see, I thought that thing in the shot was more worm than dragon.
I kind of thought having a song named "Here we are in the Future" was a little forth wall breaky. Like, when do people ever claim that the present is the future? It makes more sense if it's being used as a new opening though.

People tend to say it's the future when...confronted with mentalities from the past?
It's a way of saying things is different now.
Though people in actuality might just say the current year or century, I guess.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.

So judging from the opening sequence Jasper and possibly White Diamond will remain enemies and to that I say... HELL. YES. They are far more interesting and threatening as villains in my opinion.
Also, I love how Lars was included in the wide shot of all of the gems in the show.
