Steven's flaw in the movie was tunnelvision that Spinel mistook for ultimately wanting her gone. That's much more Spinel's fault than Steven's, but he still could have watched his words.
You could honestly say Steven was too lenient with Spinel at first, as just let her roam free because she wasn't immediately attacking anyone.
Moving on from Steven and Spinel, Rebecca posted some circa 2017 concept art of Steg
. In addition to his pomp looking more like one of Rose's curls (something I'm glad they changed), Rebecca calls him "Steg Multiverse" in the post itself, so I guess that's his official full name.
A theory I had on that, or at least on the injector: It was already at the garden because it had been created by Pink Diamond.
We know Pink wanted a colony badly. Maybe she tried to create an injector that would work better than most, but it was too powerful.
Main thing against this I can think of right offhand is Pink Diamond/Rose Quartz isn't really associated with that kind of ingenuity or technical knowhow.
I'm not entirely sure how it would be possible to make injectors that have gems take up more of the Earth's life energy than they already do.
It's just poison, why do they have straight up poison, who knows?
It's important, but also...not really.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. Both things were pink. So theres good odds that they were just surplus Pink Diamond junk that Blue Diamond hoarded like the sad hoarder she is.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersShe already stopped it by that point...
So, not really.
What he could've been focusing on is making her make it fly off of the planet so it wouldn't still be a threat later.
But as soon as she stopped it, he pretty much went "we're done here."

It was for a good cause.
That comment by itself would be questionable.
Her whole snap-back was based on "what happens now" because she's the reason everything happened.
"you wanted me to shut off the injector, so what now?" She didn't believe things would just be fine after that.

That said, I don't really blame Steven for anything. Given what he'd been through and the circumstances, that was a totally natural reaction.

This song needs more love. The official SU YouTube channel uploaded the entirety of "Earthlings" an hour ago
. Dunno if it has anything to do with anything, but I think it's neat.
It's not as random as you'd think.
Gotta protect the young minds from being open.

Yeah sorry, not sorry. I saw who made this video and immediately bailed out. That guy could argue the world is round and i still wouldnt want to watch it. He already did enough to proof to me that nothing is lost to me when i do that.
And on the subject itself all i want to say is: Yes they still can try to "fix" the diamond redemption in the next season and even i had an idea to do so, but it doesnt change that they did it poorly in CYM.

Her antics weren't that annoying...tolerating someone who only occasionally distracts you is easy pie.
