An announcement about the movie.
EDIT: Some more information on the same thread.
Hopeful for Opal? There's also Yellow Diamond and Bismuth's voice actors, so it's most likely set after "Change Your Mind"—or else they through a curveball and it's wildly non-canon.

Thinking about it, I feel like Peridot's redemption arc was the only thing of its kind that was totally satisfying. We've been over why things with the Diamonds felt off, and while I don't have the same issues with Andy that a lot of other people have, him realizing all his mistakes and just being good from then on was kind of eh.
Things with Lapis and Bismuth were both unique enough I don't really hold it against them, even if they probably could have been handled better. And Jasper's situation is still basically unresolved.

That's more because Andy has been criminally underused post "Gem Harvest" - had he actually been given more screen time, him struggling with trying to drop his bigoted beliefs, move on from the past, and adjust to the strange world that is Steven's life would've been given more spotlight, I think.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Peridot was always an anomaly where character development was concerned though.
No other character has had as much time dedicated to their change before or since.
You could argue Lapis has, but because of her Commuting on a Bus nature, it is both drawn out and diluted to the point many would say it's not even happening.
I think that depends on the length. The movie is 90 minutes long, but I don't know enough about musicals to say how many songs are usually packed into that runtime.
Though speaking of which, if everyone listed on Deadline's article has at least one song to themselves, that'd be 17. This of course isn't counting multiple people singing the same song, someone having more than one song, or characters that haven't been revealed yet having a song.

It's not about the amount of songs...maybe it is.
But more than 2 obviously.

Even this list could just be the article's writer just listing main and supporting cast from the show. It would be a bit odd if we heard from all the Diamonds, Sadie, and Lars, but not Jasper, the Cool Kids, or the Off Colors (besides maybe Padparascha). Though Nanefua's inclusion does seem a bit more specific.
Moving away from the movie for a bit, why are Vidalia, Yellowtail, Sour Cream and Onion called "Fish & Chips" on the Characters page? Did something officially refer to them as that, or did someone just come up with it because we have literally nothing else to call them?

The Proud Family.
Why wouldn't they just be Onion family?

It still fits, Yellow Onions.
