Hessonite is Nephrite's commander, confirmed
. Already figured as much, but good to have confirmation.
Sorry for double posting, buuuutt there's gonna be another picture book
that adapts "Change Your Mind"!
Sugar actually called it a "companion piece
" for "Change Your Mind".
Rather than just adapting that episode, it seems to be an abridged telling of Pink Diamond and Steven's identity, from the perspective of all four of the Diamonds. Hence the name The Tale of Steven.
a silly, impossible little Gem
named Pink Diamond
ran away from her Homeworld
to the planet Earth.
She transformed into Rose Quartz
and gave up her existence
to create a half-human child,
Steven Universe.
But so long as Steven has her Gem,
can they BOTH exist?
Is he her? Is she him?
Is she trapped inside his Gem?
This is so DISORIENTING!
In a story unlike any other—
made up of multiple points of view—
who gets to tell the Tale of Steven?

Volume 2 of the SU Soundtrack releases on the 12th!
Now where is the background music album
The article supposes that there have been fewer songs since the last album, raising questions about the dozen tracks listed for this one, but there have actually been exactly twelve:
- "Potluck"
- "The Working Dead"
- "Sadie Killer and the Suspects"
- "G-G-G-Ghost"
- "That Distant Shore"
- "Ruby Rider"
- "Let's Only Think About Love"
- "Familiar"
- "Escapism"
- "Let Me Ska My Van Into Your Heart"
- "We Are the Crystal Gems" ("Change Your Mind" version)
- "Change Your Mind"
(So "Do or Do Nut", sadly, will probably continue to be excluded.)
Season five actually 11 songs, which is more than average—and the most if you count the halves of season one separately. It just seems like fewer because Sadie and Steven got four each, and only three of them were in the season's first half.

Christine Liu posted some boards and sketches from "Together Alone"
and "Change Your Mind
".
Interestingly, it shows Lapis in a different outfit
◊, with a low, nearly-horizontal neckline and shoulder leaves similar to Sapphire's (although it's possible the latter are part of her water wings). Peridot also appears to have a V-neckline, like her first outfit. And Bismuth was boarded wearing her regular clothes, not the armor.
Interesting enough, one of Joe's boards for a later scene
◊ does have Lapis in her final outfit and Bismuth in her armor, though Lapis' top also has a v-neck and Peridot and Connie are in shorts, so who knows what was going on there.
A little something for fun: Webcomic artist Mary Cagle (Sleepless Domain, Kiwi Blitz, Let's Speak English) drew Pearl in her style:

Random thought, since Rose could float Pink could probably do the same Power Floats thing, which is a vaguely amusing image since she's a Diamond they don't generally do that sort of thing
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverIt's not like we've seen a ton of her when she was Pink Diamond. And a good chunk of when we've seen her have been in flashbacks where she was in the middle of arguing, when none of the Diamonds would be using their powers. I don't think we have a good cross section of how Pink used her powers prior to becoming Rose.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.
