The death of organic life is a consequence of what they do.
There's not getting around that, but for the sake of the "story"...it's best ignoring that.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Although White Diamond passes over it pretty quickly, it's interesting what she apparently thinks Steven—and not "Pink"—really is: An actual, fully human child that Pink Diamond has been possessing since the moment he was born.
Obviously that'd be horribly out of character for Rose, but it's an interesting concept: A host that's been possessed their entire life and possessor that (effectively) lost their memory of everything before. I don't know of any work of fiction that's explored quite the same thing.
> I actually do want to see how Jasper feels about all this, hopefully she gets a focus episode. I'm betting it'd be more introspective than aggressive, though.
I think Jasper is going to be like a Grumpy Bear after everything that's happened,I mean she was lied to so she has a right to be,probably going to involve plenty of Self-Deprecation

Estelle was in another episode, one where they did a bunch of clips from everyone's tube. The main cast sang the theme song.
see my completed Tangled (Varian) fanfic collection! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24467056/chapters/59049532> You can also see it went back to Steven’s usual position if you look closely.
Huh I imagined it would return to the position Pink originally had it in as she had to consciously turn it over and Steven probably doesn't know do that yet, though in probability Pink Steven did it himself

It went back to that position when he cycled forms and went from Pink to Rose, then stayed in place as Steven.
The last podcast for the foreseeable future
had some interesting things:
- Rebecca Sugar made character designs for all seven of Fluorite's parts.
- Lion and Lars are aging, but it's been slowed down, just like Lars' heart slowed down.
- Lars can potentially use all of Lion's powers, and "it'll be really funny" when he does at some point in his life.
- Kat Morris says she imagines Lars lost his sense of taste and still has to eat occasionally (someone already made a comic about it
). However, she discussed it as something the crew disagreed about, so I wouldn't assume that's canon. (Personally, I don't see why he would lose any senses, especially when his vision's fine after his eye was messed up. Lion clearly still has a sense of taste, otherwise why would he like Lion Lickers?)
- Lion found (Watermelon) Steven in the ocean because they are "in tune", but not necessarily in a magical way.
- About 25 minutes in, they discussed what happens to Steven's gem if he dies of old age. It got kind of complicate, so I recommend you just listen to that part yourself.
- For a while Susan Egan only played the tiny floating whale in "Rose's Room", so she had to take the crew's word about having a major role later.
- Speaking of "Rose's Room", Steven's "It's all a fake-a-roo!"
line was referencing G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, when Shripwreck realized
he fell victim to a Faked Rip Van Winkle.
- Being a diamond helped Rose conceive Steven, but a regular gem could potentially do the same—it would just be very hard.
Joking mode, but Lion clearly doesn't have a sense of taste because he likes Lion Lickers so much, as according to Steven they are not very good XD

I will admit it would have been better for White Diamond to have more appearances before the final confrontation because, damn, White's VA was on point showing her as a villain. I mean it, as far as awesome villians go I'll rate her just a little bellow Crispin Freeman's portrayal of Albedo Piazollo in [1] and Billy Zane's Ansem in the original [[Kingdom Hearts]].
Loved the Gurren Lagann reference with Garnet's and Perridot's new glasses. The different fusions were awesome, especially Obsidian's sword.
Won't deny that it felt like White's... no, defeat isn't the right word, being proven wrong maybe? Getting back on point that felt a little rushed.
I won't lie when Lars showed back up I was half expecting Saddie to cut off the awkward talk by just dipping him down and smooching him. Either that, or Renoldo to ruin the moment by either asking a hundred different qustions about space or asking about where he got the awesome outfit.
As for next season there could be any number of possible plot lines they could explore. Especially with Jasper. Say for example her corruption and healing may have left her with flaws so she is no longer the "perfect" Quartz Warrior she always prided herself on. That could be an interesting arc about her coming to terms with herself. Heck, for all we know she may continue to be antagonistic. Say she eventually accepts that Pink faked her shattering and become Rose. Maybe she'll resent that her Diamond chose to destroy her own identity to create the wierd little abomination that is Steven.
Maybe we'll see some of the recovered loyalist gems, (and maybe even some of the old Crystal Gems) having trouble letting go of grudges from the war and try to continue it, just because that's all they know and they're afraid that's all they can do. Or, on a darker side, some of them prefer war to peace.
Hopefully we'll get a few stories of the Diamonds seaking advice from Steven and the other C Gs on how to go about making reforms.
And if Jasper found out that the Diamonds were behind the corrupted Gems and not the Earth like she believed, imagine if she was so outraged that she starts to believe that they have disgraced the very order they have built and that they have betrayed themselves. She then decides to form an army consisting of Gems that were disillusioned by the Diamonds' actions and start a rebellion against Homeworld. With the intent of overthrowing the Diamonds and creating a new order that perfectly aligns with her description of it in "Earthlings" and replaced the one she sees as twisted and distorted beyond recognition.
In addition, Jasper's hatred of Earth becomes even bigger than it already is and she tries to destroy it out of spite towards Pink Diamond.
