Mhm. I think it's based off this drawing
Rebecca did.
Side note, I love how Lapis is going full ham while Peridot and Jasper are just like "yeah whatever".
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢New theory; they gave Lapis pants because they're a lot easier to animate than her dress.
Anyway, some of Paul's boards
from "Change Your Mind". "People trying not to cry for reasons of stoicism but unable to stop from crying because they care way more than they want to let on" is a very good aesthetic indeed.
Let me just say that I saw the season finale “Change Your Mind” back on the day that it aired and, while I did like it, there were still just a few things, like a few other things about this show, that I’m not not entirely certain about how I feel about personally, despite somewhat understanding them to a certain degree.
For one thing, while I am glad that a few of the C Gs have some new outfits, that Lapis Lazuli is an official Crystal Gem now, that the C Gs have a lot of their old friends back and that the threat of the Great Diamond Authority has finally been dealt with, without Steven having to leave the other diamonds hanging after we saw just how much that they truly cared for Pink Diamond. I’m also pretty much okay with Lars and the Off-Colors finally being able to make it to Earth.
But, certain things about all of this do still leave me in a bit an uneasy state of mind, if that makes sense.
1. The new outfits are okay, but, after such a long time of seeing the old ones, they might take some getting used to
2. Does this truly mean that Pink Diamond/Rose Quartz is really gone?
3. Has everyone really come to stop seeing Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond as a good person by this point?
4. With the Corrupted Gems now healed and the Great Diamond Authority (and subsequently the rest of Homeworld) now without any real reason to want to attack the Earth, what’s really left for the Crystal Gems to protect the Earth from? People have already stated that bringing in a new threat at this point wouldn’t really work, so what can be done?
5. While I do like that Lapis Lazuli is a Crystal Gem now and that Bismuth is part of the Crew indefinitely, aside from that one battle in “Reunited” and the events of “Change your Mind”, the two of them both arrived to help just when the feud was just about over.
6. I can’t help but feel like that this means that, despite their deplorable actions from the past, the two rubies; Eyeball and Navy, as well as Aquamarine, all basically get off scot free for all of the things that they did to Steven, Connie and the C Gs back in seasons 3-5. Eyeball tried to stab Steven and then testified against him after snapping at him during the trial, Navy pretended to be friends with Steven, Lapis and Peridot and actually took pleasure in toying with their emotions and betraying them, and Aquamarine was just cruel, condescending and mean the whole entire time that she was on screen. And yet none of them get any sort of real comeuppance for all of that?
- Yeah, but you'll get used to them with time.
- Has been for 14 years.
- Pink/Rose was a good person, she was just kind of an insensitive asshole about it.
- I dunno. Maybe no-one. Maybe next season is all fluff and politics with no fighting.
- Yeah, but we'll see more of them next season. Maybe they'll get screentime there. Maybe they'll even get an episode reconciling the fact that Bismuth poofed Lapis 5000 years ago, which led to her getting trapped in the mirror.
- Depends. If we don't see them, they really weren't that important. If we do see them, we'll probably get some kind of resolution.

Navy ready was no where near as bad as the other two. Eyeball stabbed the person who saved her on the back and Aquamarine was a kidnapper for no regards for human life.
All Navy did was steal back a spaceship that was rightfully hers in a dickish way. She could have easily left the Crystal Gems stranded in space for payback, but she left them over the ocean when the party included a Lapis Lazuli.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. Not even Aquamarine threatening to kill them? Although Topaz's response gave us this shot
◊.
Topaz was just following orders, and the way she captures people is what she's designed to do. Aquamarine was actively being sadistic and threatening their "zoo stock."
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.![]()
What's wrong with that shot?
Continuing: What's wrong with that?
That sounds epic.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. Finally caught back up! Damn but you guys cover pages fast. Okay, my thoughts on the finale-
I will admit it would have been better for White Diamond to have more appearances before the final confrontation because, damn, White's VA was on point showing her as a villain. I mean it, as far as awesome villians go I'll rate her just a little bellow Crispin Freeman's portrayal of Albedo Piazollo in [1] and Billy Zane's Ansem in the original [[Kingdom Hearts]].
Loved the Gurren Lagann reference with Garnet's and Perridot's new glasses. The different fusions were awesome, especially Obsidian's sword.
Won't deny that it felt like White's... no, defeat isn't the right word, being proven wrong maybe? Getting back on point that felt a little rushed.
I won't lie when Lars showed back up I was half expecting Saddie to cut off the awkward talk by just dipping him down and smooching him. Either that, or Renoldo to ruin the moment by either asking a hundred different qustions about space or asking about where he got the awesome outfit.
As for next season there could be any number of possible plot lines they could explore. Especially with Jasper. Say for example her corruption and healing may have left her with flaws so she is no longer the "perfect" Quartz Warrior she always prided herself on. That could be an interesting arc about her coming to terms with herself. Heck, for all we know she may continue to be antagonistic. Say she eventually accepts that Pink faked her shattering and become Rose. Maybe she'll resent that her Diamond chose to destroy her own identity to create the wierd little abomination that is Steven.
Maybe we'll see some of the recovered loyalist gems, (and maybe even some of the old Crystal Gems) having trouble letting go of grudges from the war and try to continue it, just because that's all they know and they're afraid that's all they can do. Or, on a darker side, some of them prefer war to peace.
Hopefully we'll get a few stories of the Diamonds seaking advice from Steven and the other C Gs on how to go about making reforms.
Regardless of your opinion of the last American election, we can all agree on one thing- The Chinese Communist Party can choke on scrotes!I hate to admit, I have a problem with the Diamonds' redemption.
The gem shard fusions. Those horrible, screaming, shattered people begging for death, including THE CLUSTER ITSELF. The Diamonds did that.
My various fanfics. There's also the whole "being as expansionist empire and likely as genocidal as The Imperium" thing.
