Garnet didn't find out about Pearl's tricks when they fused into Sardonyx so I think her secret would be safe.

I just had a random thought: If Pink Diamond's his mum, does it mean that the other Diamonds are considered "aunties" to Steven?
(in Domestic Family sitcom style...)
Yellow Diamond: You can call me Auntie!
Steven: Wait, does that mean ALL the diamonds are my aunties? Yellow Diamond: YES. Ignore the Crystal Gems, Steven.
Blue Diamond: (dramatic sigh) Does that mean we will have to treat him as family? Yellow Diamond: Guess so, welcome to our family, kiddo!
(laugh track continues into infinity...) Steven: Can I bring Cookie-Cat also? YD: Sure!

Ian JQ's promo for "Change Your Mind".
I lists all 12 storyboard artists: the "regular" eight storyboard artists, three supervisory staff (Johnston, Morris, and Sugar), and one guest boarder (Jones-Quartey).

A few more questions: When the Gems fuse using Fusion Dance, do the synced Gems retain their own minds, or do they have to co-ordinate their attacks? Because that might be difficult if one Gem is refusing to cooperate while being fused (ala Malachite). I feel sad for the Cluster because the gems are all fused together for eternity as a type of Hive Mind, aka a radio that never keeps quiet.
Do the actual gems on the Gem's body act as their minds or their bodies? Because if Pink Diamond is not currently active (I assume PD's in her gem-state), that means that she could hear in a two-way radio about Steven's adventures, or have a few monologues to herself mentally.
In an anime, I'll be the Tsundere Dark Magical Girl who likes purple MY own profile is actually HERE!Pretty sure it's been shown in-show that Fusions have the minds of both themselves and their components, with the Fusion's mind at the forefront unless the fusees get desynced.
For any of those have a Reddit, here's a reminder that the Crewiverse are hosting an AMA later today at 2 PM EST.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢When fused together, the individual minds can remain independent if they fight each other, but otherwise they quickly fade into the mind of the fused Gem - who has the knowledge and memories of both but is her own person. Neither Ruby nor Sapphire are strictly conscious within Garnet, for example: she's not the two of them coordinating together, she's just Garnet.
By far, my favorite way of showing this in the series is how in "Stronger Than You," Garnet goes from using "we" to refer to herself in the beginning of the song, to using "I" in the latter half - something that recurs whenever she's either fresh from fusing or in danger of splitting apart). But it's stated quite a few times beyond that.
The cluster most likely isn't unified in this way because each Gem that makes it up is a broken chaotic mess. The first mutant we ever see shows us each Gem screaming and scrabbling to separate themselves, but instead lumping together into a twisted, confused monstrosity. Imagine that, but tons of them.

Thanks for answering my first question, but what about my 2nd question?
In an anime, I'll be the Tsundere Dark Magical Girl who likes purple MY own profile is actually HERE!When they're poofed, whether they're the body or the mind seems to be a distinction without a difference. I don't recall whether Amethyst and the others were conscious of what was going on while they were poofed, but Pink isn't poofed. Steven's not just a boy with a Gem stuck in his stomach wall; he's a hybrid, and we don't know enough about the rules of his body to say whether Pink is conscious. I doubt it, and I also doubt she's ever coming back. Maybe once Steven dies?

It's been fun.Alternate “Change Your Mind” promo by Hilary Florido.
Florido also mentions after this point being promoted from storyboard artist to storyboard supervisor.
So someone actually made a Works page for one of my SU fanfics and I tried to edit it and add tropes but it feels weirdly narcissistic and all I could manage was to freshen up the description a bit.

You know what would be fun to see in the show? A "Fantastic Voyage" Plot, of course!

Creator of Heroes of Thantopolis: http://heroesofthantopolis.com/I'm also very excited! I don't really have any expectations aside from a) Greg, Lion, and Bismuth (and maybe Lapis and Peridot) being Big Damn Heroes, and b) that this is going to be absolutely batshit.
Also, Here's Rebecca's promo
for "Change Your Mind". Definitely not foreboding at all!
