They seem to be oblivious to how miserable she was and have a shocking lack of curiosity as to why she committed pseudo-suicide, twice over. It's like they care more for her as part of a Status Quo of Gods than as an actual person.

Then agaib, the 'No Further Question' Ball has seen heavy use in this show, so I may be reading too much into it.

To be fair, I don't think was supposed to be always miserable or at least, she wasn't always aware of it.

Apparently she played around with the pebbles, threw balls, and even had fun with all the other Diamonds plenty of times.

Things only really came to a head with the Earth stuff when she realized all she was missing.

I remember her face when she smashed that mirror. At the time, I thought she was being an unreasonable spoiled brat. Now I think she was incredibly frustrated but didn't know why. The colony was an attempt to escape routine and gain respect and autonomy. But there was even more to it than that.

[down]I hope it involves piña colada.

Speaking of Escape, do you think Steven's newfound Psychic Powers would come into play later in the Diamond Days arc (Escapism specifically)?

Great news guys! The episode "Familiar" was THE 2nd highest rated broadcast for CN with 741k viewers.

Steven Universe is the final non- Teen Titans Go show that truly puts butts in seats for CN.

If you meant to say "Last Week's Ratings werent bad!" You are CORRECT! These ARE the ratings for last week! I know they dont seem impressive but this just about steamrolled every other CN show.

As stated earlier, by this point Cartoon Network seemingly aren't really so focused on TV ratings, at least not with Steven Universe, because so much viewership comes from streaming. Good premier ratings are pretty much gravy at this point.

While that IS very much true where is the harm in celebrating the shows Linear TV success? I really dont see any. Sure it might hurt if next week isnt as watched but I think this time was a win Win.

ALSO I think its still important for CN to have great linear TV Nielsen Ratings because that means CN will actually exist as a channel instead of just an App. Even if they dont really care about Nielsen Ratings anymore.

People are questioning the accuracy/usefulnes of Nielsen in particular even in terms of TV rating—CBS actually stopped using them entirely.

I wonder why. CBS' The Big Bang Theory dominates utterly in the ratings. I dont even like it but I do question why would they do it. I would be extremely happy to see a more accurate, innovative and smart way to measure viewers. Because I do agree Nielsen while not obsolete is a much much much less reliable in this era of streaming.

I mean, we already knew that. As Peridot said, all gems were created to serve them.

When? Pretty sure the Jades were the gems that fused together.

Either way, unless all of them are Jades (unlikely), the credits didn't include a voice actor for one of them.

Speaking of which, it turns out "Legs From Here to Homeworld" mispelled the name of Nephrite/Jade's voice actress—it's "Aparna Nancherla", not "Aparna Nancher'ia". They also left out Greg's voice actor. Jeez, first "Reunited" credits Charlyne Yi as voice "Rudy", now this.

Let's consider Steven's options for who to contact (keep in mind it doesn't have to be one person/group):

  • Lars and the Off Colors: He basically has to talk to them, at least indirectly, because they're the only dependable allies with a ship.
  • The Crystal Gems back home: It's been at least a day, maybe several, so Lapis and Peridot have probably reformed. If Steven can still only contact people that far away in their sleep, I'd imagine he'd reach Lapis—or another human to act as messenger.
  • The Crystal Gems on Homeworld: They obviously won't be enough by themselves, but if they weren't bubbled, it'd help to coordinate.
  • Pebbles and Pink's other subjects: Could be some help even if they're reluctant to outright rebel.

If it is just Lars, I hope he gets in contact either in his dream or by possessing him again. And, just maybe, the Off Colors made it to Earth in the days since Steven's group left, and he'll reach Lars in the middle of reuniting with his friends and family.

Lars is a really obvious choice but I could see him being really reluctant about attempting a rescue since they have like one really fast ship and Homeworld very likely has a huge fleet guarding it,plus they're bound to know about him so they will be on the lookout for a stolen ship attempting to dock.Steven will also have to explain that the Diamonds are practically his aunts because he'a Pink Diamond's son which makes extra awkward

Don't think he's going to have much luck with crystal gems if they're bubbled, though he might have more luck with gems from Pink's court

It’s for Steven, though—Lars has still got that whole “life debt” thing going.

As for the rest of the Off Colors, it’s probably going to go like

Lars: None of you have to do this.
All of them: We’re doing this.

A somewhat funny image occurred to me,Steven uses his Diamond powers to send out the equivalent of a Diamond SOS signal hoping it summons Lars but it ends up summoning the Amethysts and Jaspers from the zoo, they do have ships at the zoo so leaving the zoo isn't impossible
