I dunno, I think the ANSI Standard Broadcast TV Schedule is completely dead with the young demographics that CN is aiming at. "Familiar" is first available today, but you can watch it any time after on a DVR or streaming. I'm certainly way outside the demographic, but that's how I'll be watching it.
As long as you don't have to schedule a specific time to watch a show, the time it actually airs is irrelevant. I think that's why you're seeing release schedules that would have been nuts in the days where you had to watch a show when it was broadcast or miss it. (Even in the days of VCRs nobody watched everything time-shifted. It was a pain to set up recordings and you kept having to swap tapes.)
okay, so that was cool! also cool: the more I think about the potential implications here, the more my brain becomes full of fuck
The notion that Yellow (and quite possibly Blue) have to use "extractors" for drain (and collect?) something from them was immediately weird and alarming. Then my fiance linked me this: https://twitter.com/mai_tresan/status/1077386121112440832
warning, lots of speculative horseshit ahead
I hadn't considered what was actually in the injectors for so long that I'd assumed it was just like, a seed crystal or something by default. But if it's these... humours from the Diamonds, the gem RNA that the injectors insert into host material, then... That opens up a whole fucking host of questions. Like, for instance... It's very interesting that Yellow specifically notes that her extractor room is "new." And given that she's talking to "Pink," then perhaps the metric of time she's using is from the last time they were together on Homeworld?
If these fluids are necessary for the creation of new gems, then... Was the resource scarcity endemic to Era 2 not [just] the lack of physical minerals, of host material, but reduced availability of gRNA [and gRNA of "lesser quality"] to create new gems in the first place?
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. were the injectors fueled by Diamond LCL?? Did White use to be ''Lilith?'' Are the Diamonds, actually, literally, everyone's moms?? Are Amethyst, Nephrite, and Jasper Steven's kids sort of???

Diamonds having the power of Creating Life with their essence was foreshadowed all the way back in "Watermelon Steven". The Kindergartens are simply an industrialized version of the process.

Literal rock people...it shouldn't be that much more offensive than it already seemed.
> Is it me or do the pepples have different voices? I wonder if that's significant?
There's also a male pebble, who is I'm totally calling Gus
Also,if they're having a ball I expect Steven to lose a shoe

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverI was not expecting the Diamond Authority to live in Pee-wee's Playhouse.
@Registered User: On rewatching, I noticed that wasn't a tear from Steven that brought the pebble to life, it was sweat from being in the extraction chamber. So yes, it's quite likely those extractions are used for gem creation—though that begs the question of why they didn't already have an extraction chamber in Era 1.
I think you're kind of overstating the importance of this, though.
Even if a diamonds' followers are usually made specifically from their "gemetic material", this isn't that different from what we already known. Amethyst thinks of Jasper and the other Earth gems as her sisters, so people already thought of Pink Diamond as analogous to their mother (and thus Steven their brother). Hell, I remember one the crew describing Blue Diamond as like Lapis' mother, and people joked about Yellow Diamond being Peridot's "mom" since before we saw her.
Sidenote: "Legs From Here To Homeworld" was storyboarded by regulars Amber Cragg and Hilary Florido plus long-time Adventure Time storyboard artist Tom Herpich. This episode was by the same three plus Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward.

Man, it was so creepy seeing that even the walls and decorations on Homeworld are living Gems. Not that the walls and decorations themselves were creepy, far from it, they were adorable, and I wish them all the luck.
No, creepy that the Diamonds literally use gems as architecture. We've seen other Gem architecture that wasn't alive, that's not a universal thing, that's just the Diamonds being weird and horrible and making living beings just to literally use them as walls and statues.

I have a feeling I know why Yellow wanted Steven in the chamber, she needed his essence for her Citrines, essentially Pink's essence gives Gems the additional abilities and Yellow desperate wants it for her newest batch of Gems, also the comment about how Pink is almost worth tolerating is huge red flag to me
Essentially,I think Yellow is going to reveal her newest line of Citrines and be like "..And it was all thanks you..Steven" followed by Steven being like nooooooo how could you do this I thought we were friends, and then Yellow is going to laugh in his face

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverBlue also requested him specifically, so I'm thinking it might be a joint thing. I could see that as being the big twist of this little mini-arc.
I read a comment on Tumblr that seems to predict the twist of next episode. So, Steven sets up a ball, and at balls there's dancing, and usually one would dance with their partner, so Steven is going to dance with Connie. Thing is, Steven and Connie fuse when they dance, so the theory goes that we (and Homeworld) will see Stevonnie next episode, and they probably won't take too kindly to that.
It's more likely Yellow and Blue expect Steven to already know what the extraction chamber does.

Next episode's title ("Together Alone") is also an inversion of Stevonnie's first appearance ("Alone Together").
The episode after that is "Escapism", and the song of the same name has a certain tone to it. For one reason or another, Steven's party may as well be called "Operation Burning Failure".
