To further add to the "gem placement is not determined by type" theory, so far, it's been true of nearly every gem where we've seen multiples of the same type - most Pearls (Yellow Pearl and Blue Pearl being the only exceptions I know, though I think it's hinted that the Pearl that fused to make Rhodondite also had one in the same place), Amethysts, Jaspers, Rubies, Topazes (assuming you count "on different ears" as different placement, which I do), Peridots, and arguably Sapphires (presuming Padparadscha still counts as one, and also assuming that "back of right hand" counts as different placement as "palm of right hand"). In fact, I think the only examples we have so far of two gems that are both the same type and with the same gem placement are in the case of Blue Pearl and Yellow Pearl (and probably the Pearl portion of Rhodondite), probably Navy and the Ruby portion of Rhodondite, and the two Zircons we've met so far. That strongly implies to me that it is possible for gems to have the same placement on those of the same type, but odds don't favor it.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Hey, remember how a few people had theorized a while back that Pearl couldn't shape-shift anymore due to a traumatic event? And now we know she impersonated Rose Quartz to "kill" Pink Diamond, and presumably hasn't shape-shifted since. Do you think they show will directly address Pearl's lack of shape-shifting and have an episode where she gets over her trauma and shape-shifts again?
In a show with so much foreshadowing that it has it's own page? Pearl's lack of shape-shifting was always going to have a plot-related reason.
Also, I had read your earlier post as "I don't think she specified which trauma," thinking that she had made the statement prior to the Pink Diamond reveal.
Two months left in the year... I really hope we get some more SU episodes but at the moment it doesn't feel likely.
Creator of Heroes of Thantopolis: http://heroesofthantopolis.com/After Jasper gets uncorrupted, what if the following happened to her:
- She finds out Rose Quartz is Pink Diamond and is so outraged and heartbroken that she renounces her as her Diamond. Likewise, she can no longer stand hearing Pink's name and lashes out at anyone who says it near her.
- Finds out the Diamonds were behind the corrupted Gems and not the Earth like she believed. An enraged Jasper accuses the Diamonds of abuse of power and promptly becomes an outcast on Homeworld.
- A new villain shows up and tortures Jasper to near-death. It's so horrific that it leaves her completely broken to the point where she tries to shatter herself.
Seriously, where did that even come from? The first two were based on Jasper learning and reacting to events that happened after she was corrupted, that seems like the most logical direction to take her character. The third is completely unrelated to anything, I can't think of any logical reason why it would happen.

I wonder how she discovered how to rotate her Gem like that,my money is one of the Diamonds inadvertently showing her it was possible
