On that topic of Blue and Yellow being raised by White: do you think it's possible that Yellow and Blue have actually been bubbled by her before? They could have just been afraid that she'd do that to Steven, but it wouldn't surprise me if she'd done it to either of them in the past as punishment for a fuck-up.
So this is probably a coincidence and not everything in this show is foreshadowing, but a video of White Pearl and Rose Room Connie from Open Book were placed side by side and there are similarities between WP and Cloud Connie. Both are robotic sounding who follow objectives, both have white in their design, Connie has puff accessories in her hair in the same place as WP's hair buns and both are missing their left eye.
This is probably just foreshadowing a future character design but it would be interesting if this was intentional by the crew.
-Witty line-So I'm calling right now that White Pearl was Pink's originally, but they switched Pearls for some reason (Pearl could have beem made for pink through a sort of From a Certain Point of View scenario), White Diamond did something to turn her white, and Steven is going to cry on her and turn her pink again.
I don't think the show is going to throw Pink under the bus to make White seem less responsible for her actions. That would defeat the whole point of setting her up to be so unnerving the way they did.
All these the Pearlswap theories seem like they're grasping at straws to me. Especially because I don't think Blue Pearl shares much in common with her diamond in appearance either so that already broke the pattern for me way before Pearl and White Pearl did.

- Nope, Blue and Yellow Pearl and Diamond all have Collarbone Gems.
Crystal Pearl having a Head Gem instead of a Tummy Gem like Pink... Yes, very suspicious.
Her gradual whitening over the years may reflect her White-ness...

It just seems very strange yet mundane, and while I'm sure there will be an actual reason if it happened, I'm just kind of left going...okay, that's a thing, I guess. At least for right now, anyway.

I don't know why they would have switched either. I have a few guesses, but the main thing is really just the position of the gems and also White Pearl being off in general. The Crewniverse has been really meticulous about this sort of thing since the beginning so I can't help but think it has to be significant somehow.
Also, we haven't seen any other gem, make Holograms...
Also Gem Storage... Have we seen any other gem do that, either?

The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I mean last page and someone points out this page, Room!Connie dresses similar to WP when she snaps from being given an order that goes afainst their being. It's known Pearls are programmed into their very being to unqestioningly obey their master too.
Pearl is also said to have been given to but not made for Pink.
Pink could have easily given an order in he vein of Steven that caused WP to literally break and the result had her given to White Diamond who "fixed" her.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. It seems like they’re setting up Yellow to be the one who turns against White. I get the feeling that she’ll be so fed up with White letting Homeworld fall so far from greatness and become so dilapidated. I think siding with Pink makes sense, partially out of real affection for her sister, but mostly out of practicality.
I really find the Pearl = White Pearl theories getting increasingly convoluted, even more than old proven theories.
I wouldn't go as far as completely dismissing the possibility, because I did so with Pink/Rose mostly because of the fandom, and that turned out to bite me in the ass.
But to me, the color schemes are way more important.
White Pearl is pure black and white, just like her master, and the ballerina outfit, while it has some points in common with Pink's design, seem to me to be in line with Yellow and Blue Pearl (so I see this more as sympthomatic of Pink having a pearl-like design to begin with).
Contrast Pearl, who is effectively rainbow colored by the standard set by the other pearls. The only thing that connects her to White is her skin color (which is actually a shade of yellow). Her dresses are made of the colors of the three diamonds that were the closest, with Pink's shade being more prominent in her older designs. And she's got consistent pink hair.
To me all this indicates that Pearl was custom-made for Pink as a gift from her older sisters (Yellow and Blue specifically, because it seems to me White was a distant presence in her life).
WP could have belonged to Pink but when Pink was in her bratty phase and maybe damaged her accidentally. Then White decides to give her own Pearl to PD thinking that her Pearl could do better to teach Pink (while pearls are suppose to be glorified accessories, it is strange how many talents CG Pearl possesses). White then takes the other Pearl as her current one.
For DEVIOUS plans! Like silhouette tracing!
Just out loud harmless speculation.
And people are thinking there was a swap mostly because the 'Diamond Pearls share their Diamond's gem placement' theory is so close to being true. Also, it fits nicely aesthetically.
-Witty line-I wouldn't put it past the show creators, really. It would be an interesting twist, and Pearl's habits of 'compartmentalize everything' and her absolute neuroses seem to fit with the kind of environment what little we've seen of WD's personality would probably create - stay quiet, agree to everything, nothing out of place. Though that appears to be a Pearl's function anyway.
