What's weird is that White Pearl's actual pearl seems fine. So her scarred eye isn't due to her gem being damaged. Either it's personal preference...or White Diamond cracked her face and forbade her to regenerate it.
And am I the only one who thinks that White Pearl's color scheme makes her look a lot like an old black and white cartoon character?

Disgusted, but not surprised
It's also possible that White has the power to permanently damage a Gem's form without necessarily cracking the gem. Given that they needed White's power to heal the corruption, and that White is implied to have light-based powers based on Garnet's flashback, it's definitely plausible. I made a post earlier guessing that White's Pearl ended up pissing her off at one point, and so White damaged her form as punishment (and also to communicate to everyone else that she isn't someone to take lightly).

Alternatively, while Gems may not need an atmosphere, there may be advantages to having one.
WELP.
This quite easily explains the next few episode titles.
And why "Escapism" the song is a thing.
I... How did they manage to fit all this in eleven minutes?!
CENTI!!
...was in Pink's court? Huh.
She has a permanent Cat Smile, that's amazing
And she's gone again. Let her be free, dang it
Once again, Homestuck has ruined the number 413 for me. Considering Amber worked on this episode, I'm imagining it was intentional.
Also, is anyone else getting )(IC vibes from White, design-wise? Her plump lips and her head and hair being the same thing reminds me of how the Condense was drawn.
YESSS IT'S A LEGSHIP
I'm imagining Steven coming back and finding that Lapis, Peridot, and Bismuth just completely changed his house while they were gone. Shame we won't get to see them reform, though.
Also, I just realized that Connie is going to Homeworld without a sword. That's gonna be a problem.
Is White Pearl okay?
I'm getting "condescending mother that knows their child is a thing but doesn't pay attention to them" vibes from White.
Sorry for the dump, I had a lot of thoughts.

Cluster's Arm is Gem Ship sized. So, full Cluster is Fully Combined Gem Ships' size?
The only reason the Cluster had such a hard time with Yellow's Ship, was because it wasn't done fusing or something?
If Rhodonite, Padparadscha, and Sardonyx fuse... It'd be a Sardonyx fusion... I wonder how it'd rank in size, compared to White Diamond...
Then again, size isn't everything...
Fighting White Diamond might never happen, if she's too OP...

I was reminded Centi's drawing of her commander
◊ resembled Hessonite, and now she's confirmed she did work under one of them.

- Didn't notice you. Meant for the poster above you.
I wanted to see those drawings of WD where we could see her gem.
Why are the Diamond Ships' made to sorta fuse into one thing? Seems like it was planned, but if WD was the first, and initially only, how would she think to plan that?
But, Jasper had her own Green one?

Oh, absolutely. Though I feel she would've been more on edge if something were to happen to Pearl or Amethyst. Either something's going to happen to her, or everything about to go to hell but she's sure she'll at least get Steven out of there safe.
The Diamonds were... surprisingly accommodating about this. I at the very least didn't expect them to let the Crystal Gems come with them to Homeworld without, like, trying to imprison them or something. Especially since none of them actually believe or understand that Steven isn't Rose.
On the other hand, they seem to be stuck firmly in "this situation is too fucked for us to do anything but leave it alone and see what the boss says" mode right now.

White Pearl seems to be the Mouth of Sauron. Possibly literally here, given that she has the same voice actress as WD.
Disgusted, but not surprised

WP could be a projection of White. Or possibly a brainwashed Pearl.
The fact that our pearl and White Diamond share the same gem placements could imply that Pearl used to be White's Pearl and then she was later given to Pink while Pink Pearl was later given to White.
