The Diamonds wanted Pink to be responsible. They saw her arguments as whining, or finding running a colony too hard because she didn't think she could properly explain what she wanted to do (maybe she could have, maybe she couldn't have). It was a failure to communicate on both ends. In the end it might have been more productive for her to flat out say she wanted to run a colony her way and that was that and she'd face the consequences when they came. Who knows if it would have worked, but at least that might have shown some backbone that they thought Pink was lacking.
Oissu!I wonder if Blue Diamond will notice the resemblance between Lion and Pink.

I dont know if we are allowed to talk about this, but WARNING: This can be VERY uncomfortable, so if the mods don't see this as appropriate, feel free to delete it.
TDI: Charlyne Yi (Chloe, We Bare Bears; Ruby, Steven Universe) has such abusive parents that she placed a restraining order against them, and is about to expire.
As long as this flower is in my heart. My Strength will flow without end.Changing my avatar back to this Ruby/Sapphire one because it feels appropriate. Though I'm still too lazy to put my gingerbread back on
Watching everything back-to-back left me feeling like it was rushed, but I don't think it was actually rushed, I just felt that way.
I'm glad Amethyst didn't want to dump her feelings on Steven, but I wish we had seen her dealing with it by talking with someone else.
I found the Ruby as a cowboy episode a little boring, though I liked the characters bits in it. I guess I was also spoiled that Ruby and Sapphire would end back together, even if I think that's a reasonable expectation to have despite Greg telling Steven off "we gotta get them back together." I suppose I just don't care for cowboy stuff.
I'm glad how they addressed Bismuth joining the team, however I wanted them to tackle the issue of Rose being an authority in the system they were fighting against from Bismuth's perspective, which I feel like they didn't. Having watched the episode once I can't quite remember if they sidestepped the issue or not, but I think they treated it more like a personal issue. Oh no, Steven turned Bismuth into a punny monster! D:
I LOVED the wedding episode. I loved the song, the characters, the plot, it was amazing. Poor mailman and ex-mayor Dewey. Missed opportunity on Steven not marrying Ruby and Sapphire with his Diamond authority over Earth. I liked how their clothes fused together!
Oh, this tangentially related to the past few episodes. The show does seem to be going with "Steven is Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond," which I feel is wrong on a philosophical and physical level, but the show says it's true :S Uh, okay, I guess.
I wish we had a little more foreshadowing on the Cluster being capable and willing of fighting back, even if it sounds reasonable. Mayor Nanefua's plan coming into action, nice. Heh, Code Blue and Code Yellow. All Crystal Gems showing off their fighting abilities was cool. Connie resisted Blue's emotion wave the first time, but I'm pretty sure she kneelt the second time. I wonder if that was an error or what.
I'm glad Lapis is back, but it leaves the sour taste of "if you have issues, just run away from everyone and you'll eventually feel better" in my mouth. I know this isn't what they were going for, but that's what it felt like to me
Her being able to withstand Blue's emotion wave speaks of her character development tho
It's impressive neither Blue nor Yellow got poofed from all the things that were dropped on them. Poor Peridot.
At first, I thought we'd be seeing Steven having been poofed by Yellow, and we were now seeing his perspective from inside his gem. Especially when Connie appeared on-screen. That didn't happen though. They've shown us Steven astral projecting before, why couldn't have shown him being a "psychic ghost"? Would've tied this better.
Steven actually being Rose Quartz still feels wrong to me :|
...No one has said Steven is actually Rose Quartz...he's Pink Diamond.
LOL. But seriously he is his own person. No one has said otherwise.
Also I LOVED THE COWBOY PARTS. Im not saying this to disagree with you or fight. I really did and it was so epic. I loved Wild Arms so the whole thing was really appealing.
As long as this flower is in my heart. My Strength will flow without end.The preview has him saying "I don't have any of Rose or Pink's memories.", implying he'll explain that he's not really the same person now that they're listening to him instead of attacking.

Bismuth was already a pun monster...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I think at first Steven commented he was his own mom to the cool kids, but I took that as an one-off joke. Then he started saying he is Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond to homeworld gems in a way that made me feel like he was trying to put it in a way they'd understand. But he seems to keep repeating that in a way that makes me think he actually believes it, and the show wants us to believe it. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding it.
However, physiologically, I'm unsure whether Steven is 50% Rose 50% Greg, or 100% Rose 50% Greg
@Aegis P: Yeah, I expected someone who liked cowboys more would've enjoyed the episode more.
@randomness4: He's enabling her!
Steven enables everybody (except Ronald), it's why he's a bad person...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice."Can't be negotiated with." is probably more relevant.
Is it me, or is Yellow Diamond just completely in shock over everything? I know that we've only got the last few seconds of "Reunited" and a 30-second preview to go by, but it seems like YD is in such shock that she can barely react to anything happening, while BD has it together enough to actually move things along. If so, it'd be a bit of a role reversal compared to, for example, where the two were when "What's The Use In Feeling, Blue?" was sung.
Also, speaking of that song and things in the background of it, while I'm sure that others have probably said this before... is there a chance that there never was a Rose Quartz at all? What if all those bubbles at The Zoo are just inert gemstones that PD made to cover for what she was doing? She already made one fake to fool everyone; what's to say she didn't make a bunch of them in part to prevent her sisters from going after real gems? It kinda makes me feel better to think that this is what she did rather than let an entire caste get held prisoner.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.

Pink didn't seem to be planning to talk to them by that point. In fact, she didn't seem to have a win condition at all: she just assumed that if she made enough of a ruckus the Diamonds would just leave. No wonder eventually she just decided to do something drastic.
Come to think of it, on her own she wasn't a very good planner. Before Garnet came along, she initially thought she could do that with just her and Pearl - it wasn't until after then that she thought "hey, maybe this would make more of an impact if more Gems joined in!"
