Yeah, there is that potential prospect as well (plus the prospect that the Diamonds accidentally reverse corruption on someone who was already a Crystal Gem, outright boosting the protagonists' strength). That said, I don't think the Diamonds are the sort who think things all the way through (I don't think Pink is an outlier there), so I could see them doing it regardless.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. You're assuming they'd know that, or that the Diamonds couldn't convincingly lie to that Gem, or that a promise of de-corruption other Gems wouldn't will their cooperation regardless.
If Centipeetle had to choose between uncorrupting her crew or helping the enemy she'd been fighting in the first place, even knowing they weren't necessarily the "enemy" now, what would she pick?

Centipeetle. Sorry, it just really bugs me when people mispell her name.
This is from their facebook, but a new official bingo card

If diamonds can cure corruption, it has to be at a cost greater than replacing most gems, otherwise they'd have done it already. That cost would also have to be something they could fulfill while on Earth. And why would they do that instead of just bringing/calling for gems off-planet?
I can think of a scenario where Blue and Yellow came to Earth alone and get stranded when their ships are destroyed, which is amusing in some ways, but problematic in a lot more.
But really, what would they want any kind of reinforcements for? The Crystal Gems are vastly outpowered, Blue and Yellow are barely outnumbered, and any gems they uncorrupted would be way weaker than them.
A second, official source on the bingo card.
I just had a whole dream about how much I want an Adventure Time/Steven Universe crossover, and I really do. Steven and Finn had very similar character development but approached it from different ends of the spectrum. Steven was an naive, gentle kid who had to learn that the world is a lot darker and has situations where there's no other option but violence, while Finn started out as a naive, aggressive kid who had to learn that the world has a lot more shades of grey and situations he can't just punch his way through.
I also can't help but want to see the Crystal Gems interacting with the various princesses from Adventure Time.
> That brings up a question: after getting (back) to Earth, would the Off Colors care? Do they want to keep pirating and fighting Homeworld, or just settle down?
Of course they'd care,I think they would happily give up the space piracy and the battle against Homeworld if it meant they could settle down without having to worry about Homeworld breathing down their necks, they spent a long time evading the robernoids in the underground, and then they were evading Homeworld in a stolen Starship..
If they did settle on Earth I figure they'd stay together but gravitate towards areas where they feel secure but familiar like the Kindergartens,I'm well aware it doesn't sense to settle on a new planet then hide but when you've spent most of your existence evading capture and fearing for your life it's very ingrained behaviour and hard to change
Lars probably wouldn't want to give up on being a space pirate captain though,it's been a blast for him.
New trailer with more footage and a guy narrating a summary of what's happened so far

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverI'm sure he wouldn't pressure the others into going back to space, but might try to find a new crew (I don't think he'd tr to go it alone).
Unless he got into a really bad fight with the rest of the Off Colors, Lars definitely wouldn't try to go on his own. They said it themselves in "Lars of the Stars" - they never would've gotten as far as they did without each other.
An extended trailer for Heart of the Crystal Gems
. It's mostly old clips, but there are some new ones in there.
There's also a narrator that reminds us that yes, the Diamonds are still very terrible people, even if they are sympathetic.

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢I've been expecting someone to get shattered for a while now. The more they dance around a terrible possibility, the more it leads to seeing it happen eventually.
Like how we've seen the end result of corruption for a while, and heard about the event time and time again, so us seeing it onscreen (with Jasper) was inevitable.
Bismuth or Jasper, if there is any desire to maintain Status Quo Is God.

Agreed - in fact, part of my belief is the supposition that they have not yet found out about The Cluster's neutralization.
What's interesting to note is what their response will be. I can imagine they might attempt to unbubble The Cluster at first, but considering that The Cluster bubbled itself, I predict that would just result in a very rapid self-rebubbling.
They might attempt another shot of The Corruption again, to try to get "stragglers," but that seems like an awful lot of effort for a very small number of enemies. Of course, There Is No Kill Like Overkill.
That said, I can think of something that they might try to do that would also make a seismic shift in the show - they find a corrupted gem and demonstrate how to un-corrupt it, then commanding the uncorrupted gem to attack The Crystal Gems. It would finally solve the question Steven himself has wondered about for a while (how to reverse corruption), create new potential adversaries (plus lets us get Jasper back in the mix), and sets the stage for a grand finale.
