I can't get the sense how "puny" humans supposed to be in this setting. Like we have untrained people like Sadie overpowering corrupted Gem, who supposed to be superhumanly strong, and poofing it with a stick. Then we have Connie's mother overpowering corrupted Gem at one point in "Nightmare Hospital". What actually trained soldiers odds against Gems?

Against an actual Gem intent on fighting them the odds are against them, corrupted Gems aren't part of any army anymore and weren't following any sort of objective, the reason they were taken so easily is that they weren't at full strength, their minds were damaged from the corruption wave
Also, thinking about it,I don't think Lapis will appear, they've had her fly away for a reason, maybe at the end when everything is over though
Though I'm wondering what kind of invasion force they're bringing,we saw the two Diamond Ships, could there's more ships involved or the their invasion forces are in their respective armships

It's not just competence, gem monsters are demonstrably, physically weaker than comparable uncorrupted gems. Hell, some became incredibly weak; the Beetle of Earth is basically just a very durable, regular-sized insect. That goes double for the cluster gems, minus the Cluster itself—jumbles of undead limbs aren't inclined to be strong or coordinated.
If they came to Earth purely to investigate Pink Diamond's death, they'd have reason to bring few if any other gems—that's less mouths to speak of the diamonds not knowing what happened.
We've finally got official sources (TV Guide and Zap 2 it) on next week's episode titles, though only descriptions for the first two. They confirm the leak list, including the last one being double-length.
- "Now We're Only Falling Apart": Pearl tells a story.
- "What's Your Problem": Amethyst convinces Steven to take a day off for himself.
- "The Question"
- "Made of Honor"
- "Reunited"
~thatother1dude Video embedding isn't working right now, so we can't see anything if you tried to link the video.
So each new episode (except Reunited) next week is airing with an older episode from season 1. That will be an interesting contrast.
Hopefully the episodes don't just focus on Garnet while pushing aside the major story reveal, like what happened after the last special. 'Steven returned from Homeworld and finds issues with Pink's death! Let's talk about him and Connie for the week instead!'
-Witty line-Heh... given what we've seen from the previews, I appreciate the Shout-Out in the first episode's title. To follow up with the rest of the lyrics, "... There's nothing I can do, a total eclipse of the heart."
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. If “Total Eclipse of the Heart” isn’t the best song ever, it’s at least a strong contender.
Oh God! Natural light! It's certainly a karaoke showstopper, I'll say that much. I kinda want Ruby and/or Sapphire to sing it based on the previews.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.> Why would they bring enough soldiers that it could be called an invasion? They expect the planet to blow up and know via Aquamarine that there are barely any Crystal Gems left.
> If they came to Earth purely to investigate Pink Diamond's death, they'd have reason to bring few if any other gems—that's less mouths to speak of the diamonds not knowing what happened.
An invasion force as a show of force while they eradicate the remaining Crystal Gems, maybe? I think they've probably worked out by now that their Geo weapon isn't going to destroy the planet anymore, and if they were that concerned they wouldn't be going to planet in the first place
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverCartoon Network posted a video compilation of scenes related to Rose being Pink Diamond.
Despite the title, most of them aren't really "clues" at all, rather they're stuff that seems more important in hindsight. Like when Steven asked Greg if Rose said anything about Pink Diamond, and Greg's response was that she probably had something to confess, but he told her who she was in the past isn't important.
Honestly, my favorite part was the hilariously, stupidly minor one in the opening: during the montage of Bismuth playing with the gems, Pearl explains the card game by pointing out to a card in her hands with a red diamond suit.

I think he means that maybe it's been long enough without there being an Earth-Shattering Kaboom that the Diamonds are assuming the cluster is a dud.

Blue Diamond's visit was closer to the present (early spring->late spring or early summer) than Peridot's message (late summer->early spring).
Peridot also said the Cluster would emerge "shortly". Even putting aside how far off a gem could consider "shortly", which seems more likely to Homeworld? That Peridot overestimated the Cluster's growth rate, or that she was entirely wrong about it working.

Later than that Yellow and Blue got a report on the Cluster from what they thought was a loyal Sapphire (actually ours) assuring them the Cluster was on schedule. That's what prompted Aquamarine's mission is the first place, preserving specimens from Earth based on Peridot's reports.

All of that said, I predict that the Diamonds are going to find out shortly that The Cluster is neutralized. I'm not sure quite how yet (maybe Peridot lets it slip, maybe they have an engineer on-hand who will tell them), but it feels like the show is about to set up the next major conflict, and that seems the most obvious way to do it.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. There was idea I saw awhile ago that the process of creating something like the Cluster is a similar way to how a Diamond is formed, superheated rock boils in the depths of the Earth for thousand of years or something
And basically, they've worked out the cluster is not a Geo weapon anymore, but another Diamond, and they don't want that so they're rushing to the planet to prevent this new Diamond from forming
