Heck this sorta happens in real life. Some countries tend to have more Christian-style weddings over their culture's traditional ones, just because they like the aesthetic.

Most interesting theory I've heard in regards to curing corruption is that Steven will have to go inside their minds to the source of the corruption and somehow remove it
With Peridot,I think what will happen is that Lapis will come back to take away Peridot away before the Diamonds actually attack ,so they get to take on the role of Crystal Temps when the Crystal Gems are incapacitated by Blue Diamond's attack, the trailer did show Connie leaping down onto Lion and it was all very blue
Along with the townies, hence Ronaldo in Battle Armour
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverYou know, I just have to say this; the whole concept about the Diamonds coming to earth, it just bugs me for certain reasons
1. There’s just something about this that gives off a sense of finality for the series. I mean, let’s be honest, given that tremendous leak that was shown just a little while ago, you know that there’s going to be some form of resolution to the whole Diamond Authority threat. And once the Diamonds are no longer a threat to the earth or the Crystal Gems, what’s left for our heroes to oppose against? The Diamonds were the only real major antagonizing threat left for the storyline.
2. This whole possibility that Steven might end up making peace between the Great Diamond Authority and the Crystal Gems just doesn’t seem right to me. The Crystal Gems whole purpose was to oppose the evils that the Diamonds have been enforcing for several millennia. In fact, Peridot’s whole reason for joining the group was because she saw what kind of person that Yellow Diamond really was; a cruel, sadistic tyrant who just wouldn’t listen to reason. So, the idea that the feud between the Crystal Gems and the Diamond Authority will end like that, it...it just doesn’t work for me
3. If the Diamond Authority threat really does come to an end here it just feels wrong somehow that Lapis lazuli will likely not make her inevitable return back to Earth until after it is all over. I mean, after all that has been shown with her, it seemed like her returning to help fight off an enemy would be a nice turn of events for everyone all around. I mean everyone would get lapis back and she would finally be able to gain the confidence that she needs by taking a stand against those she once feared. And now it looks like that’s not likely to ever happen within the show
Please respond to all of this

White Diamond? Blue and Yellow are the only diamonds we've seen and the only ones we know are showing up in the Bomb. Even if Blue and Yellow are no longer a threat, who says White's going to play ball?
It's even implied that White has half of Homeworld's planets
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I'm still wondering if this series will fully embrace its anime inspiration and cap things with a final boss fight complete with All Your Powers Combined on both sides: A fusion of all of the Crystal Gems, including Steven, vs. a fusion of the other three Diamonds.
Disgusted, but not surprised@kkhohoho: First of all, it's not guaranteed that we'll see Steven making peace with any of the Diamonds; much less all three of them. Even if Steven manages to convince them he's Pink Diamond's reincarnation/son (neither concept being particularly familiar to Homeworld gems) and actually call a cease fire to talk with him, that's a far cry from them accepting Pink Diamond's choices.

Even with spoilers marks, leak spoilers are not permitted in this thread. Thank you.

Nah, it would be a battle between a fusion of the Crystal Gems, Steven, all of Beach City, and the Cluster vs a fusion of the Diamonds and all of the Homeworld Gems.
Scene-by-scene observations:
- Looking over that one crowd shot, the one in the daytime where everyone's wearing casual clothes, I'm pretty sure that's new, not old episode footage used to fill a trailer (again).
- Jenny is wearing her usual clothes while driving Nanefua around. Maybe there was a decent amount of time between the first sign of the ships and their landing, maybe it's just an animation oversight.
- Maybe it's just because we're seeing her from the waist up, but it looks like Sadie is just wearing a colored T-shirt like she wore under Big Donut uniform. That's oddly dressed-down compared to everyone else—excepting Ronaldo and maybe Bill (who's got kind of a Sonny Crockett look).
- Just an amusing animation error, but the way Sour Cream and Ronaldo's eyes are drawn in that crowd reaction makes it seem like they're looking at something much closer than everyone else.
- Yellow's arm ship appears to be slapping down just in the outskirts of Beach City.
- Steven and Pearl are in a new, snowy area where a sudden burst of ice comes out. There's a good chance they're following after Sapphire, who's trying to brush them off.
- The lighting of the shot of Connie and Lion really is freakishly blue, even for night. Could just be the glow from Blue Diamond's ship, but maybe Ultimatum's right that Blue is using her Emotion Bomb on the whole town. That would be a good time for Connie to step in, as it probably doesn't work on fully non-gems.
- The tree behind horse Amethyst looks coniferous. She may be in the same snowy place as Pearl and Steven.

As for why the Diamonds are invading, some think that they end up tracking Larz to earth. I don't know if that happens but at one point in the teaser there's a looming shadow during the day and the people in the shot are wearing casual clothes while the invasion is definitely at night and everybody is dressed up. It's possible Emerald either went to the Diamonds and she may have a record of her video chat with Larz and Steven is clearly visible to her.
