The Brazilian Portuguese version seems to translate most of the main cast's names, except for Rose, Garnet, and Peridot. Technically Lapis too, but it's written the same anyways.
This discussion also makes me wonder if Lars and Señor Barriga are related.

I mean, I was trying to do a reference to the show, but that's what a garden is supposed to be, isn't it?

I'm really curious now about why the Zoo was build. Pink's reasoning previously seemed clear, but now several possibilities spring to mind:
- Pink really did think of the first Zoomans as trophies.
- Pink created the Zoo thinking human life was worth something, but still wanted to colonize, and considered it a compromise.
- Pink created the Zoo after she wanted the Earth left alone, but before starting the rebellion, and so thought it was the only way to save any of them.
For the first two, observing the Zoomans may have contributed to Pinks' Heel Realization, though I don't think it could do so alone—Pink/Rose admired humans' ability to change and become what they wanted, but the Zoo essentially prevented any of that.
The Zoo was apparently yet another thing Rose regretted. Pearl did at one point say that she and Rose wanted to free the Zoomans but by then it was too late and there was no way to get back to the Zoo. I mean, freeing them is an option now thanks to the advances Homeworld made in FTL travel.
Disgusted, but not surprisedThink about it, Pink probably didn't visit the Zoo after the rebellion started—she couldn't leave either side leaderless for that long.

It can't warp directly, otherwise the rescue post gem war would've been viable. It might lead to a ship station in a nearby planet or satellite, but without ships the rescue is still not viable.
I do have to wonder how they transported the first population to it before FTL travel was possible. Maybe cryo?
Some possible (read: probable, since it was planned from the beginning) examples of foreshadowing the Diamond twist:
From Garnet's Universe, of all things.
We should've listened to Eyeball.
Pearl really did cover her mouth a lot.
Should've listened to Flourite, too, even if she was right for the wrong reasons.
Man, there were so many characters we should've listened to, even Rose herself!
Even in goddamn Laser Light Cannon.

Fun fact, "Garnet's Universe" is mostly why I think Yellow Diamond has weighted hair and that Steven's gonna get a Super Mode at some point.
The whole "Rose shattered Pink" thing kinda put a damper on the believers. I'm kinda curious why no one just went "What if she faked her death?" during the year and a half between "Back to the Moon" and "A Single Pale Rose", though.
Huh.
No one can ever say anything bad about "Say Uncle" ever again
I wonder how Uncle Grandpa was able to tell?
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Reality Warper nonsense. Those can easily figure out the plot twists.
Looking back and after seeing Babysitter Greg again, i think Rose's behavior in that episode is more or less how she behaved as Pink Diamond, at least that's how i see it.

About Kindergarten, Guarderia is the translation to the equivalent in the spanish school system. It was chosen because it's a 1to1 translation, pun be damned.
But, at least here where I live, while Guarderia is a reasonable word to translate Kindergarten into, we commonly call it Jardín, which literally means garden and therefore preserves the pun.
My guess is that Mexico and Spain don't use that word in such context?
And yeah, the dub flipflops sometimes using the proper gendered variants and sometimes not bothering.
