> I just figure she was/is busy with other things.
This is basically what I think too,Earth on the whole probably doesn't concern her too much anymore since it's just one planet in their huge empire, and cluster means it's going to be destroyed anyway
With Blue and Yellow it's personal because Pink was effectively their kid and she died there,it wouldn't surprise me if White was'nt close to Pink like Blue and Yellow were as she was busy managing their empire and Pink was simply this upstart Blue and Yellow were responsible for

Based on eyeball recognizing “Rose’s” healing power, there’s no other gem with this capability, though we did see Peridot’s robonoids repair the Homeworld warp, and her expectation that Steven’s power would work on the pad suggests it would work on a gem as well.

Question: It's pretty much assumed now that White Diamond isn't just a fusion between Blue and Yellow, but is there a specific reason why?
I know "Your Mom and Mine" shows her as a distinct entity to Blue and Yellow, but is there anything else? Because both there and the Diamond Authority symbols seem to regularly place White between Blue and Yellow, which has potential to be significant.

So an extra hand is pretty much the main thing to go on? Because otherwise White as a fusion would be the most occam friendly explanation, to me, in that it requires the fewest guesses barring enough evidence against it.
There's no reason to mention White is she doesn't exist outside of fusion, for example. It would explain placement above/between the other Diamonds as well. But I haven't invested much in White Diamond either way so I'm not sure how much is just assumption (hence the question)

Going "White is a fusion" always seemed like it relied on a lot more assumptions to me, honestly.
Like, that a fusion of Yellow and Blue (but only Yellow and Blue) gets a mural depicting her with all of the colonies that she apparently rules, independently of Yellow and Blue?
Or that they would put a fusion of Yellow and Blue in their insignia in the first place, but not any fusion that should have existed with Pink?
Sure, you could explain these things away, but those explanations would also be assumptions. Where as "We know Yellow, Blue, and Pink are individuals so White most likely is too" and "White was depicted as separate from Yellow and Blue, so she is." seem very straightforward.

I'm currently on the "Pearl was given to Pink by White" train, if only because I'm desperate for White to be mentioned in some way.
Oh God! Natural light!Though I do hope there's something unusual about White that sets her apart from the other diamonds.
Pearl: No, no. We don't age, but we can still get hurt and die.

Yellow, Blue, and Pink are pretty easily understood people that happen to have enormous (political and personal) power, which was completely necessary for the pseudo-family drama that turned out to be Rose's backstory. Since White was apparently not part of that, I'm hoping she'll turn out to be really inscrutable and creepy in some way.
The montage in "Your Mother and Mine" plus her mural suggest White Diamond directly ruled colonies back then, but this is a new era. Maybe she did turn herself into some kind of far-out machine ruler—that statue is really suspicious.
Though I'm imagining less a treatment for some injury/illness than an elective process to become a better ruler.
A lot of people have gone "Why did Rose/Pink think this was a good idea", but I think the entire purpose of this clip was to tell us why she came up with the idea. Blue flat out says "As long as you are there to rule, this colony will be completed."
Side-note, Blue's voice actresses' Irish accent is really noticeable here.
Edit: Video fixed.

Youtube embed seems to be broken.
And yeah, I agree that Blue's words combined with Blue and Yellow's refusal to listen to her or allow her to leave convinced Pink that a) faking her death would save Earth and b) Blue and Yellow wouldn't care anyway.

Disgusted, but not surprised

We know Gems can get injured, like how Amethyst cracked her gem. It's possible White Diamond got injured in a similar fashion. Well, I mean she could have had her gem become cracked somehow, not implying she was horsing around and fell off a cliff. This seems unlikely, because I'd imagine Homeworld has the ability to heal cracks in gems, even though the only healing we know for certain has been done on the show were from Rose's tears, Steven's spit or Rose's fountain.
