Amethyst is very much Unskilled, but Strong since she's the only Crystal Gem built for combat, though not as strong as she ought to be due to defects. She can regenerate faster, but messes it up by rushing it. She's stronger, but relies too much on instinct and deliberately avoids training, meaning she can't even Pearl in a straight fight and gets utterly stomped by Jasper who is stronger and more skilled. Even Steven can hold his own against her eventually despite being a kid who only started training very recently. Though I guess it's unfair to compare her to Steven since he's also very much a case of Unskilled, but Strong since he's part Physical God but can still barely handle the Superpower Lottery he inherited from his mom.

Disgusted, but not surprisedSo far, I think the only gem that's confirmed to be an Era 2 gem and thus not have a weapon is Peridot. Aquamarine's hairbow-wand might be a weapon she leaves summoned, or it might be tech that she wears. And even that isn't to say that she can't summon a weapon even if it is tech - after all, Jasper saw no problems using a destabilizer while also wearing her crash helmet, so I have to assume that, if Aquamarine can summon a weapon other than that wand, she'd have no problems using both if she felt it was necessary.
As for Rose Quartz and having to hold some powers back... this actually leads me to wonder about just how much power she was regularly using. The show has been a bit inconsistent about the amount of energy it takes to maintain a shapeshifted form, but "Back To The Moon" suggests that Amethyst has only a relatively short amount of time that she can maintain it before she's significantly winded (for these purposes, "a relatively short amount of time" being measured in hours at most). Since "Rose Quartz" wasn't even close to her natural form, and it's pretty strongly implied that Rose held that form pretty much permanently over centuries, it's pretty reasonable to assume that quite a bit of her power was literally tied into just being Rose Quartz.
Of course, there is one possible monkey wrench in that theory - since Faking the Dead required poofing Pink Diamond, it's possible that she simply chose a radically different new form when she reformed as Rose Quartz. That said, it was pretty strongly suggested in "Reformed" that there are complications to picking a new form radically outside of a gem's usual parameters, so even being able to pick the form of Rose would have been a pretty big energy expenditure.

Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Maybe she just had to really, really think about it.
Amethyst trying to reform bigger than she normally is was a problem, but Rose is shorter than Pink Diamond by a fair bit. If we assume it takes less effort to reform smaller, and it also takes less effort to take your time regenerating, she probably had more than enough energy to make a cosmetic change like that- after all, Amethyst did change her hair at one point between regenerations.
You know, that reminds me of something that occurred to me recently. Has anyone else noticed that Rose is the only gem we've seen that has visible breasts?
I think what happened is that Pink Diamond's fascination with humans motivated her to borrow some of their physical characteristics when modeling her alter ego. Unless all Rose Quartzes look that way, but that would raise the question of why they look that way.
No beer?! But if there's no beer, then there's no beef or beans!> Has anyone else noticed that Rose is the only gem we've seen that has visible breasts?
Some people have noted her Gem's cleavage* yes, some of her reforming energy into that too,as to why,it's probably not to think about it too hard
.* Cleavage is the tendency of a crystal to break cleanly along distinct planes-wikipedia

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverOther Gems probably would have assumed "Rose" was a literal Off-Color Rose Quartz.
I've mentioned before that Rose is effectively Pink's Gemsona. But given how humanlike Rose is, maybe it'd be more accurate to call Rose Pink's Humansona.

Disgusted, but not surprisedThe reveal helps explain how Rose was able to shapeshift a uterus for so long
Forever liveblogging the AvengersMaybe Peridot doesn't have a weapon because she isn't supposed to, she's a technician, I don't even think Pearl had a weapon before the war; I think that even if some gems are born with weapons these can be improved and similary gems that aren't born with a weapon can gain one if they wish to; but that obviously brings up the question why homeworld gems don't turn destabilizers into their sumoned weapons.
It was said that Quartzes can have curly hair if created in soil with a high concentration of iron. One of the Famethyst had a lock of curly hair. I imagine most thought she was just a normal RQ born in a mini-iron deposit.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.@54835 I admittedly always assumed that mimicking internal organs was much easier and could be done for relatively indefinitely. After all, based on how often she eats (and the multiple implications that the also built a series of excretory system organs to work with the digestive system), and does so without pausing to shift, it's pretty strongly implied that Amethyst just maintains a set of extraneous internal organs solely for the purpose of eating whenever she feels like (Garnet, even though she eats much less, presumably does the same).
That said, a reproductive system would probably be more intensive. This does lead to the question of whether or not another gem (besides Blue and Yellow Diamond, not that either probably would) could even do what Rose did in gestating Steven.
@54837 We'll file that under Fanfic Fuel, because there ain't no way that's ever going to be addressed in a show aired at that time slot on Cartoon Network.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. In hindsight I did find it strange, before the reveal that Amethyst and Peridot made out the kindergarten exit holes to be so important, but never stopped to think about where (or if) Rose's exit hole was at one of the Earth Kindergartens.
the real qeastion is how Rose became pregnant

That's a possibly,it's just they're different species and it raises a bunch of questions, like what else did she have to shapeshift in order to get pregnant
Personally I'm just happy with a magic kiss that gave Rose a copy Greg's DNA..

To be fair, Garnet said Pearl was taking longer than usual that time. And she was working on a new look. The times Garnet and Amethyst had to regenerate were also times where they were potentially in danger, and felt they had to rush, except for the time Amethyst was attacked by the slinker.
