Is it strange I don't feel sad about the lost of Rose as an independent character from Pink, even though it does actually affects the serie thematically, but the inverse is true?
I just feel sad that I cannot longer feel sad for a bratty young monarch who is dethroned when shes just starting to, well, rule something.
Mix it up...
Or use the relevant name when necessary...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Probably Rose, after it all shakes down. Unless her original identity is relevant at the moment, effectively Pink Diamond is in a state of That Man Is Dead.
@54319 Huh... that actually made me look up this information, because I was intensely curious. X-rays actually could have proven that the gem in Steven's navel was not quartz, but not in the way people would have expected. Turns out that diamonds are almost invisible to x-rays, so they wouldn't get any clear shape of the gem in Steven. However, quartz tends to produce dark spots on an x-ray, particularly naturally-produced quartz (although feel free to split hairs as to whether or not a gem in SU parlance would count). In theory, unless you had a very precise x-ray, taking one of Steven wouldn't reveal any gem, which would be a clue that he wasn't descended from a quartz.
That said, an MRI would be able to get the shape of the gem.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. She's the False Rose of Homeworld
How fitting that there is a plant called the Rose of Jericho
names include resurrection plant, and..resurrection moss,
@54335 Fair point. Also, that Steven would be taken in for x-rays for some reason (even if you do accept that he'd go in for some reason, the MRI in modern medicine makes more sense on multiple levels). It's more of a thought exercise than anything else.

Lapis found. Was everything we saw live? Were there some recordings? The episode starts out at night, but the scene with Peridot and the Gems seemed to be at sunrise. (Or possibly sunset.) Would Steven finding Lion and warping to the moon, going out to the barn, looking around, then going back to the base been long enough for the sun to rise?
I feel like that episode got shafted, because it didn't have a revelation that turned the whole series on its head.
I wonder if they'll be able to bring back the barn? Seems kind of unfair for Peri having to live in the bathroom now that they know where it is.
Also, as a substitute name for Steven's mom, I suggest 'Rose Quitz'.

Your momma's so dumb she thinks oral sex means talking dirty. Not sure if it's within their powersets honestly. It's probably too big for Lion to warp. If they could get some metal under there Peridot could try but she's struggled with far smaller. Maybe Alexandrite could try lifting it but again, it is on the moon.
