That musta been a long time ago...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Lapis is one of my favourite characters. Her development, or lack thereof, her past two episodes hurts, but I'm still confident she'll have her moment to work though her trauma.
Rose was never a character I felt particularily strongly about, but these revelations pretty much turn her into one of my favourites.
The funny thing is that I normally don't care for characters with so much flaws/baggage. So the show is doing something right in my book.
...Welp.
I guess this explains why Rose Quartz (and by extension Steven) has so many powers. She (and by extension Steven) was a friggin' Physical God.
It would also explain why she balked so strongly at Bismuth's plan to shatter the Diamonds with the Breaking Point. She was looking out for her sisters.

Disgusted, but not surprisedDon't think she was looking out for her sisters as much as preventing things from escalating,if the Crystal Gems began using breakings points it would to an early Diamond attack, much sooner then she wanted
Also,a few pages someone was asking how Pink could be leading he rebellion and being leader of her court, she probably used astral projection so she could be in two places at once,or she had body doubles for the crystal Gems side,so really was 'Rose' but she was following Pink's orders
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverMaybe the fact that she didn't devote her full time to her duties as a Diamond due to her moonlighting as "Rose" was what got the other Diamonds on her case for supposed incompetence. Kind of like how Peter Parker gets a rep for being flaky and unreliable due to ditching others to be Spider-man.

It's pretty disturbing, especially since the one who gave her that order is effectively dead. Being a Slave Race hardwired to be unable to disobey orders to that extent...<shudder>
One wonders if Pink Diamond felt guilty about doing that.

Disgusted, but not surprisedHard to say. Outside of Pearl's tendency to take a bullet for her, something I think makes a lot more sense now, myself, situations specific to the deception probably never came up.
Telling Steven was probably the first time Pearl even seriously considered revealing what she knew.
Tales of the Questor sums up Pearl's general Servant Race circumstances pretty well:

Hmm, I guess Servant Race does fit better since Pearls were created rather than conquered and enslaved.
TBH, I've always thought Servant Race needed to be renamed since a lot of the examples are effectively slaves, not servants.

Disgusted, but not surprisedIf things do work out in the end, imagine how awkward future family gatherings will be. What with the Diamonds being his aunts which also makes them Greg's sisters-in-law.
So let's compare the known Diamonds' powers:
Yellow Diamond: Shock and Awe that can instantly disrupt a Gem's physical form much like the Gem Disruptors (which might be based off her power)
Blue Diamond: Psychic Powers, given the wave she emitted that made all the gems in the room that weren't bubbled tear up. The way she controlled her arm ship might imply she has telekinesis too (and that might mean Aquamarine's wand is based off her power)
Pink Diamond: All of the powers Rose and Steven demonstrated are her powers. Healing, gem repair, resurrection, plant growth and manipulation...

Not really, she's still mourning the loss of someone she loved, not sure how the reveal makes it hollow
Also the reveal changes everything, especially with the contents of the chest
It can't contain Pink's Gem anymore,I'm still betting on it containing her whole uncorrupted army, knowing that the rebel army would be destroyed by the corruption wave she had to have a backup.Although it probably is more likely to contain a video tape
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverWhat still annoys me is Pearl.
Her gem isn't pink. Or in her stomach. Which still makes me think that she belongs to White Diamond.
Unless she just kept polishing it over the years to make it white, but it's STILL in her head.

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayAs others mentioned before, Pearl seems unique compared to the other Pearls we've seen since she doesn't have any one color scheme matching her Diamond. Blue's Pearl is all shades of blue and Yellow's Pearl is all shades of yellow. Crystal Gem Pearl otoh has a bunch of colors in her look.
Now I have the head-canon that Pearl is a literally Off-Color Pearl.

Disgusted, but not surprisedThen she's like a gift. The other Diamonds' Pearls are their exact color, but Pink's Pearl uses the other ones.
White meanwhile is just a giant silhouette on Homeworld, not vocal in how Blue and Yellow are operating.
Why would Pink be so much smaller than her sisters and have only ONE colony. Wherever they came from, they obviously weren't made to be equal.
Maybe they're aspects of White: Pink for Joy, Blue for Sadness, Yellow for Anger.
And White is some ultimate being of cosmic emotion. ;p
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayThen again, no one recognized that Rose Quartz's "terrifying renegade Pearl" was in fact Pink Diamond's Pearl. It's possible that her original appearance was more pinkish, but as part of her disguise made herself look more unique. Meaning that Crystal Gem Pearl is in fact the Secret Identity of Pink Diamond's Pearl, one that she adopted as her true identity just as Pink Diamond made her Rose Quartz guise her true identity.

Disgusted, but not surprised

You mean that thing they kept saying over and over again?
Seriously, I don't want to sound like a dick, but Rose's sword not being able to shatter a Gem was not a obscure point, it was a very intentionally laid out plot point to make people question what was going on. There's no validation to be had, because the audience was never meant to question that.
