"Called into question" and "definitely not the case" are not the same thing. I haven't seen anyone say that Rose definitely did it (though I have seen people, myself included, saying that not being the case is less interesting/has more problems with it). I have however seen a lot of people acting as if her not doing it has been totally confirmed and nothing else can't be going on.
Case in point for an obvious problem - Garnet for some reason not knowing how Rose's sword works strikes me a something incredibly unlikely and only manufactured specifically for this situation. It doesn't feel natural.

I wondered about that too. Made me wonder if the abilities of Rose's sword weren't common knowledge, even within the Crystal Gems. Even if they weren't during the war, however, I find it hard to believe Garnet, Amethyst and/or Pearl wouldn't have known. Might depend on how long Rose's sword was locked up in that armory.

I could see her being upset at the implication that her weapon, made by her not to shatter gems, could apparently have shattered someone, although she'll probably won't be too upset over Pink Diamond's shattering.
I mean if you make a weapon that's designed not to kill someone and it ends up killing someone then it means you've messed up somewhere

On the flip side, she might consider Rose even more of a hypocrite since their original falling out involved Bismuth creating a weapon that could shatter Gems.
I could see Steven un-bubbling Bismuth to ask if there is a way to use the sword to shatter Gems, or if she knew of any other weapons that might do it.

Speakings of Bismuth, I was looking around the artbook again when I noticed an amusing note describing her relationship with Garnet:
(Also, a note about her general design is "Goron + Ninja Turtle".)
So...where does the Ninja Turtle part come in?

To be fair, I think that post is just being sarcastic.
Still, human zoos used to be an actual thing; they weren't done out of respect for the people or cultures being displayed in those cases, and I see no reason to think Pink's would be different.
I am actually taken aback by the fact that some people think Pink having a zoo meant she cared about human life, let alone all the other life on Earth.

I want to know what the idea Pink created the Zoo to protect humans is often accepted as fact. Pearl and Garnet explicitly state it was a menagerie to show off Pink's trophies. Pearl even went there once when Pink was alive.
I get theorizing that the Crystal Gems are wrong, but I rarely see that being the presented theory. Instead, so many people act like it the show presents it as being a utopia created by Pink's mercy.

Evidence?
We have no reason to see Pink as anything but a spoiled brat turned tyrant, really.

I wouldn't if people weren't back on the "Rose did it!" talking point since that was already called into question last year.
Garnet clearly doesn't have the whole story. She knows only as much as the average Ruby mook. Never had she considered (or known, perhaps) that Rose couldn't shatter a gem, much less a diamond, with her sword.
