I'm getting conflicting airing orders for two of the upcoming episodes: The Futon Critic says "Pool Hopping" is the third and "Letters to Lars" is the fourth. Sling TV has those two reversed.
I've know some VOD services to lists these episodes out of order (several sources had "Gemcation" an episode late, and Sling TV did the same with Adventure Time a few weeks ago), and Futon Critic to be pretty reliable (especially since its are tied to TV airdates). But you may want to check somewhere, like CN's website, before watching.
The middle Gem resembles Greg's outline

Probably means as a flashback it's populated by people familiar to them,so it's a stand in,but it's still pretty weird

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverShe probably ate relatively often before, but that's very different from having to eat. Given gems can see long stretches of time as inconsequential, can you even imagine Amethyst never going several weeks without eating?
If gestating Steven did require Rose to eat, suddenly experience hunger would probably be both weird and annoying. Or she didn't get hungry, but knew she still had to eat, which would be even more annoying.
I'd imagine Amethyst really only started eating regularly when the Crystal Gems stopped blocking themselves off from humans, which only happened when they meet Greg.
Before that, I'd image none of them ate even relatively often, even taking into account Pearl seems to be the only one to hate the idea.
The website apparently works for watching already (but you still need a cable subscription for that).
The Cartoon Network postings indicate it's "Your Mom and Mine"->"The Big Show"->"Pool Hopping"->"Letters to Lars" (though "Letters to Lars" has been erroneous labelled "Season 5, Episode 0", the others are properly numbered 13-15).

I'll answer the question about viewing order: continuity-wise, I'd just say the only way order matters between these episodes is that "The Big Show" and "Pool Hopping" are before "Letters to Lars", while "Your Mom and Mine" could be seen in any order—in fact, I suspect it was written to be last.
Those episodes were fun, but the advertising was pretty inaccurate.
Some of the clips and sound bites were from later episodes it seems. I just hope the "regular schedule" thing continues so we can get to them soon.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. The on-demand ads between the episodes and credits include one for Steven Universe with some more clips for later episode—possibly all the same episode. Steven's on the moonbase.
Are all important looking flashback-u in silhouette form?
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Okay, just got done. The episodes are...a mixed bag for me.
Your Mom and Mine was alright, it's always fun to see Garnet narrate. She got to have some pretty fun interactions with the Off-Colors, we got some slight insight into Homeworld, and I guess some other stuff. Visually it was interesting. It just seems kind eh otherwise.
The Big Show was my least favorite one. It felt so damn slow, ugh. It's not the worst episode by any means, don't get me wrong, but it just didn't interest me. I think Joan Jett was in there though? And, well, I guess it was alright.
Pool Hopping was the best one and is now my favorite Garnet episode. It was a good character episode for her and it gave me something to appease my frustration with how the show has been shunting the Crystal Gems off to the side repeatedly (which I'm hoping they're close to toning down soon). Garnet acting all random was fun and the gags were good silly comedy, this was both funny and touching.
Letters to Lars was...also a mixed bag. Good gags (Pearl not knowing how to text, Garnet playing tennis with Greg) and some awful gags (all of Ronaldo's scenes and most of Dewey's scenes). It also felt a bit like padding here.
So...overall meh. I'm probably more frustrated than I should be thanks to the inaccurate ads showing clips from future episodes but my mind is more focused on "When is Lapis coming back?", "What does Pearl want to tell Steven?", and "What the fuck is up with Pink Diamond's murder?".
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I personally think that having the Crystal Gems interact with the Beach City citizens in "Letters to Lars" at least shows that they're trying to avoid sidelining them.
Who wants to bet that the discussed evacuation plan will be put into effect before the end of the season?
Oh God! Natural light!

Bad news, nobody: instead of waiting until the evening like last time, Monday's new episodes are going up (at least on Sling TV) at midnight EST (i.e. as soon as Monday starts on the east coast). So you can watch the episodes Sunday if you don't mind staying up a late—not even very late if you live on the west coast.
