I’m not exaggerating it. Yellow Diamond wants to destroy Earth. Dismissing an attempt to save it because it hurt your feelings means you think it’s better for Earth to be destroyed, by necessity.
Wrong. I love Connie. She’s one of my favourite characters. Her, Pearl and Lapis are my top three. That’s part of why it’s infuriating for her to act so terribly.
Which makes her argument even more ridiculous.

Steven turning himself in as Rosey doesn't stop YD from wanting to destroy Earth, so it's pretty whatever either way.
Steven turning himself in as Rosey doesn't save the Earth in anyway, it could have potentially made every CG effort to save the Earth pointless.
Exaggerations all over the place.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Ya know if this is just gonna be another derail like all of the several other times Connie has been given the Ron the Death Eater treatment than I'd suggest calling in the mods to make it stop.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Hey wait, isn't Sereg the same person who kept insisting that shattering is better than bubbling?
...I just brought all that up again, didn't I?

That is seriously something someone suggested?
Shattering is death if not worse, since there's a chance you ended up a horrific fused Frankenstein's Monster gem thing.
Bubbling just effectively puts you in stasis. Judging by the behavior of bubbled gems after being freed they don't notice the passage of time either.
I concur, very much so.

Disgusted, but not surprised
I'll say only that I checked posting history and yes. Yes it is. Now Let Us Never Speak of This Again

The past is terrible times.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Yes, I said that. Yes, I consider stasis worse than death.
Anyway
I don't consider this a derail as it's what we were discussing an is relevant to the topic of the thread and I like Connie and only think she's in the wrong at this particular point.
Steven thought it would save Earth and the fact that it would not have is not Connie's objection, so that's irrelevant. Connie's objection is that she wants to fight together, even if they lose, instead of not fighting together to ensure a victory. That's petty, selfish and negligent of everyone else who would suffer and die from the loss.
What would have happened is not relevant to their argument. Their perceptions of the possibilities is what is relevant. Steven did what he believed would save everyone. Conniesaid that saving everyone is a bad thing to do and it is better for people to not be saved if it is the way they get to fight alongside each other. That is the important thing and why Connie is in the wrong.
Steven's decision was a short term solution to save a few people from being captured. There's no possible way he could've thought it would save the world...that's actually dumb.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Connie never insinuated that. Even if you take it to mean that Connie never thought/realized they could lose even if they fought together, that would be more being naive(?) than anything.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Fair. Except that I’m still being responded to, which proves that people DO want to discuss it with me.
That’s the message I got from her. If that’s not what she meant, the show failed to send me that message. The message I got was, "I don't care if fighting together means it is impossible for us to win and your plan was guaranteed to win! I want to fight together anyway and you had no right to deny me that!"
His plan wasn't guaranteed to work, why do you keep saying that?
It's like you're convinced that it was...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.No. I'm saying that that does not matter. The only thing that matters is that Connie did not care whether or not it would work. She only cared about the fact that they did not fight together. She was effectively saying that he had no right to change their plans, even if it resulted in going from guaranteed failure to guaranteed victory. She's saying that he had no right to care more about the lives of other people than about fighting alongside her. That is what I'm objecting to. I'm objecting to Connie's priorities.
"Oh no, my favorite character is a complex character capable of being unreasonable and not adhering perfectly to my splitting
-heavy views. WORST EPISODE."
Oh, okay.
Sorry, that wasn't clear before...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I believe this is what randomness is referring to.
Also, I'm not sure what your definition of "victory" is, but "I'm gonna say I'm my mom and turn myself in, where I am most likely going to die" definitely ain't mine.

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢@Oceanstuck: No. I did say that Perl, who has done really terible things before, is one of my fave characters. Stop projecting. What makes it bad is that not only is it out of character for Connie to behave like that, the show treats her awful opinion as correct.
And I'm defining "victory" as "the condition that results in Earth being saved". The fact that that's not what would have happened is irrelevant to the characters' priorities.
The beach itself.
The characters are unnecessary...
