Kevin is the only hot guy in this whole show.

Also, if you're looking for around that age range, I'd say Buck and Sour Cream are better than Kevin. Only a bit less attractive, and much better personality-wise.

Kevin being a shit is part of his charm, as is watching him fail at pretty much everything due to being a shit.

I've been thinking about this for a while, we know Rose/Steven have dominion over plants and healing to the point they can bring back the dead. Is it possible they can restore the area ruined by the Kindergarten?

Rose must have tried to do so and failed. It can just be another place where Steven succeeds where she failed.

It's probably beyond even his power to heal.

Now if more than one Rose Quartz Gem tried at once...

It's hard to call anything "mundane" in this context. I'll be disappointed if her absence from the trial and all dialogue doesn't say something about her character. If nothing else, it gives the impression that White Diamond doesn't give a shit about her "sisters", and the feeling is mutual.

Here's an explanation that's mundane in Steven Universe's context: White Diamond is a fusion of Blue and Yellow, which as opposing colors, form white together. But since Homeworld culture heavily frowns on fusion for non-pragmatic reasons, it's a secret kept by the Diamonds themselves.

Alternatively they're Diamonds and can do whatever the hell they want, but Blue(or both Blue and Yellow) are too traumatized by the death of Pink to form a fusion again. Hence why White is absent.

The Diamonds are the ones who say what Homeworld culture is, you really think they're going to be concerned about what any of their subjects think?

The fusion angle has been mentioned before it doesn't address the very obvious issue if they're willing to represent on their fusions in the symbol, why would they also do the other possibilities. It really doesn't hold up.

Because it's an well-established element that fusions are their own personalities, unique from the gems that form them. For all intents and purposes, White Diamond is a different person even as a fusion.

Isn't that less true when the fusions are the same type? Ruby describes fusing with other Rubies as "like me, but more". Then again, the color change could make the difference.

I didn't say anything about fusions having their own personalities, I said that if they're going to represent a fusion of Yellow and Blue as an individual (which white doesn't even make sense as, by the way) why wouldn't they do that with any of the fusions with Pink? I'm not really sure how you got confused, my point seems pretty easy to understand.

And that's still very much a cop-out by the way, the murals and symbols paint them as distinct individuals with distinct colonies. So unless White had her own domain separate from Blue and Yellow, it still doesn't really make sense.

Diamonds are different Gems via the standards we go by in the show. Gems of the same type are given the same voice actress. Each Diamond has a different VA.

My big problem with the White fusion theory is 1) White has a Gem location that is outright absent in the other Diamonds 2) If WD's a fusion how can she have colonies of her own?

Occam wise, e simplest idea to me is that White is absent because she doesn't want to be there.

Blue and Yellow are hard hit by Pink's loss, so, barring anything to contradict that, it's reasonable to assume White is, too. Blue's and Yellow's grief has taken different forms so, from a meta standpoint, it's reasonable to assume White would be yet a third form of grief.

Blue is saddened and hoards anything related to Pink she can get. Yellow is angry and wants to just blot out any reminders of Pink's death, like her rebellious colony.

What White might be is harder to say, obviously. My own guess is denial. She doesn't want to acknowledge the loss so she stays the hell away from the reminders Blue and Yellow would rather preserve or destroy, respectively.

So wonder what Eyeball actually did see if it wasn't "Rose" shattering Pink. Because apparently now they're going with no one actually being around to see what happened, but obviously she saw something so...

I like the theory that Pearl shapeshifted into Rose, especially since Eyeball and the other rubies were deceived by Amethyst pretending to be Jasper makes it plausible

[up][up]Well, there's not many ways a Ruby could get special treatment. Maybe they just made up the story to get a leg-up. That seems kind of cheap though.

No reason to lie about that when it's only her and "Rose", though.

I just gave a reason why they would lie about that. They gain by moving up in gem society. And if they're the only witness no one can prove they didn't see it, so they don't lose anything by lying.

Still It's more likely she saw something, and just misunderstood what she saw.

Yes, but would that make Eyeball lie even to Steven, who in her mind would know the truth, when it was just the two of them, I think is the point being made

Eh it's not really weird for her to stick to the facade. The context for that scene is her trying to murder him, and bring Rose's gem back for a reward just after him revealing who his gem belongs to. And she laughs as if the whole thing is ironic. You could read that scene as Eyeball taunting "Rose".

Especially because Steven seems woefully ignorant about everything also.

Eyeball straight up says that "Rose" can't talk her way out of dying because she shattered a Diamond. Eyeball genuinely believes that's what happened. Well, that and the whole speech about wanting closure.

The only taunting is in "Rose" getting what Eyeball thinks she deserves.
