Her temper sounds like it's combination of
1)Following Yellow Diamond's example,it's only natural that as the youngest diamond that she tries to follow how they behave,
2) Believing that she was somehow defective despite what everyone told her, frustration that she can't be as perfect as the others, insecurity and frustration resulting in destructive behaviour.
3)Generally being ignored,Yellow doesn't once turn around to see what she's doing, her destructive behaviour becomes attention seeking, she wants them to see the destroyed mirror
As for the diamond dream Stevonnie has, it's probably due to Steven's empathic abilities picking up on the feelings/memories left imprinted in the Diamond base by them,a popular suggestion I've seen is that he'll visit her palanquin again to see how she was shattered

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverIt actually kind of makes sense that the Rose Quartz line Pink Diamond created wound up so powerful. Look at the tropes that apply to Rose Quartz. Assuming most of them are shared by her sister Rose Quartzes...doesn't that list sound an awful lot like the traits an immature Royal Brat would add to her own creations in an attempt to one-up her older sisters?
"They think they're so great! Well, I'm great! Greater! And I'll prove it! They want me to make a new Gem? Fine! I'll make a new Gem, and it'll be a million times more awesome than any of theirs!"
And Rose Quartz is really awesome. She's one of the most versatile Gems seen. She has an unbreakable shield that can tank a Wave-Motion Gun that can also be thrown for offense. She can summon a barrier that can generate spikes for a defense and offense combo. She is strong enough to go toe to toe with other Quartz warriors. She can even repair other gems. The Rose Quartz line is basically a Combat Medic par excellence.

Disgusted, but not surprised
Even if they could make more of them, the Diamond Authority would probably refuse to do it. Rose's rebellion and apparent shattering of Pink Diamond has clearly made them very paranoid about the gem line.
I think Pink Diamond was the one who came up with the Gem Line and made the first batch. Which wound up being the only batch due to Rose's rebellion.

Disgusted, but not surprisedPlus, even if that had the same potential, I wouldn't assume every Rose Quartz was effective as her. Bismuth said Rose was always talking about how Homeworld ends up holding their subjects back because they never let them try anything they weren't made for—and Peridot's ferrokinesis is pretty strong proof she was right.

Bismuth implied that, but didn't directly say that. And that's a good question.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. One explanation for why there are relatively few Rose gems may be because they were a test batch. They were a brand new type of Gem created by the youngest and most inexperienced Diamond. The other Diamonds weren't about to start mass-producing them until they were satisfied that they were worthy additions to their forces.
That might have made relations between Pink Diamond and the Rose Quartzes a bit frayed.
"You Rose Quartzes had better not make me look bad out there! Don't you screw this up for me!"

Disgusted, but not surprisedIt's actually pretty confusing when you consider Rose is older than either Kindergarten on Earth: If by "here" she meant "somewhere on Earth", then Homeworld made gems on Earth before they had a Kindergarten, which is kind of at odds with the motive behind making the Beta Kindergarten. If not... well, that's a really weird use of the word "here".

We more or less have confirmation on that. Blue wants to keep them as mementos, Yellow wants to shatter them for the sins of Crystal Gem Rose.
If/When White ever appears it'll be interesting to find out her perspective on this. Assuming they don't take the easy route of making her really the one behind all of this.

I know the Five stages of grief thing can't work with the Diamonds, but it would be neat if WD was just in denial about the whole thing, refusing to even acknowledge it happened.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.
Yellow Diamond kind of has Anger and Denial covered. She's clearly still pissed about it but wants to wipe out everything and everyone connected to Pink Diamond's death so she can forget it ever happened.
It'd be a real shocker if White Diamond turned out to be in Acceptance.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI wonder how the Diamonds characterize their relationship. We've been talking about it like a sort of sisterhood, and for Blue and Yellow at least that definitely seems to be the case, but it doesn't seem to be that Gems (understandably) normally don't have a concept of "family" so how that develop exactly.
Yellow Diamond's treatment of Pink Diamond in that flashback seems to be a mix between an annoyed big sister and an annoyed mom. Which is yet another way Pink Diamond seems to be Steven's counterpart. The Crystal Gems (particularly Amethyst) treatment of Steven fluctuates between a sibling relationship and a parental one. It was especially bad when they still had trouble accepting that Steven wasn't just Rose in a new form or a fusion.

Disgusted, but not surprisedWe'll probably get Blue's perspective when Steven fuses with Pearl, there was that scene with Greg and Pearl in yellow and blue highlights

The more clear proof of Pink's size comes from the fact that Stevonnie seems to find the very spot where Pink punched the glass(?) wall... and where the Crack is matches up closely with their size.
This is also corroborated by the fact that the, uh, Diamond Command Chair in the Luna base is roughly normal human-sized, compared to Yellow's her-sized chair in the Jungle Moon base.

Yeah. Even if she's defective, I don't think it would matter to her subjects or to the other Diamonds. Her temperament seems to be the far bigger issues.
