A Steven/Greg fusion being voiced by Jack Black, LMAO. Worst part is I could kinda see that. XD Funny as I added a 'counterpart comparison' entry where I pointed out how similar Steven is to Po, so that'd definitely bring some irony.
I read somewhere that Ashly Burch is confirmed to have a voice in future episodes, so apparently people are really hoping her character will be Lapis and Peridot's fusion. Guess we'll see.
Speaking of 'what could have been's, I remember before even watching the show, there was this "draft" video up where Garnet and Pearl actually kissed before turning into Sardonyx, but then it was changed to Garnet throwing Pearl in the air instead. I took it as being real then, not being invested in the show, but thinking of it now, uhh isn't it fake? I could totally see the creators having fun with such a draft in private, but probably not releasing it officially considering Garnet of all Gems kissing someone makes no sense. Or else Ruby and Sapphire's argument in "Keystone Motel" would have been about something completely different, rofl.

Wonder if they'll end up posting an official version of the Comic Con clip. It's been five months already.
EDIT: Sugar is especially excited about these two episodes.

I've missed the High School AU.
Also, please enjoy this good fanart
that was posted in the announcement tweet's replies.
I'm just hoping that there's an In-Universe mention that Lars deliberately copied Captain Harlock for that look. The idea that he'd low-key be into classic 70s anime would, in the words of my kid, kill my life.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Man, what is up with the writing on this show?
It's weird how Steven managed to go WEEKS without being confronted by Lars' parents, begging him to get their son back. This could have prompted Steven to get over his dumb fight with Connie sooner, and check on Lars.
And Lars should be kind of mad at Steven for ditching him on a planet where he had no way home, and could have been vaporized. This guy had risked his life for Steven, and Steven just abandons him.
Um...Lars told him to go. Hell, he seems to think he'll be more useful helping out the Off-Colors than back on Earth.
And if you'll recall, Connie left with Lion, and Steven did try to get in contact with Connie, who couldn't really articulate what he wanted to say over the phone, and ended up missing him when she tried his house.
None of that was really anything that Steven could make go faster.

Oh God! Natural light! It was stuff the writing could make go faster regardless of those issues...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Personally, I think six episodes is fine for that (and only a few of them really deal with the conflict in the first place).
Oh God! Natural light! The last time Steven saw Lion he was with Connie so it'd make sense to think maybe Connie knows Lion's whereabouts and then go to her place.
There's no excuse for the writers to draw out this fight and delay the space plot with townie episodes when it could have been resolved sooner.

Time passage is screwy...but it's important to show why he couldn't go rather than waiting to show the interesting stuff.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Only episode of season 5 that kind of annoyed me was "Dewey wins". After the suspenseful and emotional episodes of Steven wanting to sacrifice himself, going to trial in front of the diamonds, Lars dying and being resurrected, and Steven having to leave him on homeworld, the focus then moves to... Steven getting really invested in helping the annoying mayor win the election? What? To me it just felt out of place after everything beforehand and almost insulting to Lars' situation. I get that it was done to make Steven realize "how Connie felt like", guess I just thought it could have been done in a way that didn't feel so random.
Did we see Lars' parents learning what happened to him? I don't recall other than them being among Dewey's haters for not protecting the town.
Yes, that's what they were gonna do...
Steven stopped, Sadie didn't...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Steven came back, had his tiff with Connie, told Sadie about Lars, Sadie and Steven left to talk to Lars' parents, Steven got distracted by the whole Dewey thing.
I want to see a picture of Dewey Duck driving mayor Dewey's van.

Granted, I don't think Peridot had a serious fear of physical retribution even then, but that isn't necessary to intimidate someone.
