It was a Good Bomb, I thought.
Lapis felt like she had legitimate fears, and while I feel for her, there was always a concern about the hows and whys of their relationship, especially when Peridot was doing so much.
New Mayor, yeah!
What I never got was Connie's anger at Steven. I give that he was acting like nothing had changed, and was possibly a bit overwhelming, but the fact they should have fought in all circumstances? No, that was objectively the wrong call.
1) It feels like every "Girl is mad at Guy for suspect reasons" relationship hiccups I've seen before time and again.
2) Aquamarine and her Stasis Wand was a supreme technological advantage that the C Gs could not surpass. She held a Triple Fusion and 4 Humans effortlessly and had clearly expressed no remorse for killing people to meet her ends. Battle-as Connie suggested-was a non-starter with that many innocent people on the line. Steven made the right call.
3) The fact that Connie's right in all cases doesn't make sense-given what happened to Lars, we cannot take life for granted here. Calling for such a reckless move was foolhardy, when Steven-who admittedly was cocksure about being home and everything would go back to normal-made a clear diplomatic decision that saved lives just feels off.
That big elephant here doesn't settle well with me.
Edit: I am also not a teenager, and I do get why she was mad in response to his "I'm fine, everything's back to normal" sthick that was never gonna fly. I just realize that her main argument appears to be heavily flawed.

@52248 If it helps, we actually have a trope explaining exactly why Connie was upset at Steven during this bomb - Anger Born of Worry.
Connie frustrated me a bit, but I have the advantage of not being a teenager. I totally get why she wanted to talk to Steven face-to-face, but pulling an "I'm not talking to you" to him totally doesn't help. I know that the other options (such as a terse "we need to talk in person" or "I'm angry and this is a bad medium for discussing this") would only have been marginally better, but at least some of the problems would have been mitigated a bit if she had said something. That said, that's the kind of thing you pick up as you get older.
Also, I full-on facepalmed with Steven's comments at the end of "Back to the Kindergarten." It helped that his own words apparently sunk in by "Kevin Party," but oof, that was almost painful to watch.
Finally... I guess this is just the risk you run with a Leitmotif in general, but hearing Smoky Quartz's theme during "Back to the Kindergarten" felt a bit dissonant with the feel of the episode.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I was thinking of an alternate scenario where Connie did go with Steven instead being left behind
- Stevonnie and Lars go to Homeworld
- Stevonnie is tried by the Diamonds
- The presence of Rose's sword would change the outcome of the trial considerably
- During the course of the trial Stevonnie unfuses in front of both Diamonds
- The Diamonds discover 'Rose' was a fusion, and potentially discover that Steven is a hybrid, either he flat out tells them or they deduce it themselves
Beyond that it's probably the same thing with them escaping and later meeting the off colours and Lars dying and being resurrected

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverEven if he did end of up making a practical decision, Steven was clearly motivated by a desire to put everything on himself. Before giving himself up, Steven completely failed to notice Connie's suggestion to fuse. To Connie, that probably felt like he was saying "Shut up, I'm trying to protect you!"
While that upset Connie, she started off almost apologetic about it. What she actually got frustrated with was Steven's response that he had to fix everything himself, and that it didn't matter because he got back.
After Adventure Time, it's the oldest currently running show produced by Cartoon Network Studios. It will probably be the oldest by the time it end because Adventure Time only has thirteen episodes left, while Steven Universe has at least sixteen.

Think they'll be aired before or after AT's?
It's really uncertain.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. Also the part where Connie says she was hurt and Steven nonchalantly says "No you're not." Which basically comes out to mean "your feelings don't actually matter."
Basically it's not just Steven's actions that Connie is mad at, it's how he failed to see how those actions affected everyone else.

I just remembered Clarence will probably end in a similar time frame, if maybe about a quarter-year later (its well into its last season, but we don't know how much is left; probably 13-25 episodes). Then the oldest show will be We Bare Bears, which will be barely three years old.
Man, it is so weird that no official sources are acknowledging the fifth season will be the last. Is this just some morale things because the show still has good ratings, or is it still being considered for renewal? That would be intensely unusual, considering production would have to stop entirely for months without knowing if they'd start again—a large part of the staff would have moved to new jobs in the meantime.

So something occurred to me regarding the cluster experiments
Since they weren't exposed to the corrupting light they should be at least healable compared to the corrupt gems,it might even be possible to separate the fusions that were forced together...unless they literally glued them together or whatever horrible method Homeworld came up with for forced fusions

It’s possible the debate in “Dewey Wins” replaced Beach-A-Palooza (they at least reused the sign), and “Kevin Party” is a few weeks later, which would make this early summer.
