Damn it, Sling. It's really frustrating to tell within the first five seconds of the first listed episode (Raising the Barn) that they put up the middle of the bomb. I can tell enough from context of what I did see roughly what happened... but damn, is this frustrating.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.@52200 Ah, I see. I'm missing episodes 1, 4, and 6 then. Though if nothing else, I have a pretty strong suspicion as to what plays out in the first episode. Steven and Connie have a falling out over what happened in the Out Of This World bomb, and political history has me thinking that Mayor Dewey is going to actually lose - that episode title reminds me heavily of the infamous "Dewey Defeats Truman" headline. I mean, yeah, the specifics would be nice to know, but at least I have a feel for how things are going to play out.
The other two, though, I've no clue.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.
And I'm finding out the episodes on the website really did cease being free after the weekend ended.
Yeah, screw this, I fully encourage anyone with Sling TV to pirate it. You're already paying for them.
Anyway, we've moved on to discussing these six episodes' without spoiler marking. I advise you steer clear until you've seen them.

To be clear, they're not, like, massively plot important, but they're still well worth watching. The status quo is decidedly not God, at least.
Oh God! Natural light!@52202 Well, "I Am My Mom" too, but there was plenty about what happened in the bomb that I could see Connie getting worked up over, and that tempers flare due to poor communication (which tends to amplify when emotions get raised). While unfortunate, I totally could see all sorts of issues.
As for skipping the thread (I probably won't get a chance to watch the episodes until 11 tonight; life gets busy), eh, I can deal with spoilers. I watch shows less for the "what" and more for the "how."
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. That's the mindset to have alright...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Shifting subject:
On another site I have been involved in a lengthy argument about whether or not I "misunderstand " the show. Some people state that every single episode of the show deals with deep/mature/important themes or have deep meanings that I am too dumb to pick up, and that I misunderstood at least one element of every episode, which is the reason why I didn't like a lot of the episodes. While certain episodes do indeed contain deep themes ("Rose's Scabbard" with grief, numerous times with the fusion=sex metaphor) I think it's a big stretch to say that every episode has deep meanings, or even a majority of episodes. I certainly doubt the presence of any deep layers in a lot of the episodes I dislike ("Island Adventure", "Fusion Cuisine", "Historical Friction", "Onion Friend", "Love Letters", "Lion 2: The Movie", and "Full Disclosure" are examples of episodes I disliked, which likely don't have any big meanings I didn't get).
So is the statement that every episode has two or more layers or deep mature themes Fan Dumb "trying to make the show more mature than it really is" or is it true (notwithstanding the fact that a 16 year old not being able to understand a CN kids cartoon is highly unlikely).
Just another day in the life of Jimmy NutrinI don't understand this show sometimes...
It's a kids show...

The fandom often does overthink things, and at the same time don't do it often enough.
Like, they love to say "To be fair, you need to have a very high EQ to understand Steven Universe" bla bla bla, but then they oversimplify things, like Lapis' motives.
So don't listen to the fandom, they're... not exactly that great. Sometimes, the drapes are blue because they're just colored blue.
Signatures are for lamers.Monster reunion,a lot of interesting details, particularly about Centi reliving her last moments before the attack, also corrupted gems can't use the warp pads so they (the writers) don't have to worry about random monsters showing up inside the temple all the time
Also in 'the Answer' something I hadn't considered before is that Steven had no idea what Blue Diamond looked like,so she's heavily stylized in the flashback
Also Lapis being used as a skateboard is a hilarious mental image
