"Dewey Wins" won't air for 2-3 months, which I think is the farthest before the premier a preview has officially gone online (barring accidents like the "Super Watermelon Island" clip on CN UK).

I'm almost expecting/hoping for just this one to be watchable on VOD/the website several weeks early, like "Stuck Together" was.

Gems seem to only use clothes for the sake of appearance, because there's little they'd need clothes for protection against. Except other gems' attacks, but they still don't bother with armor for some reason.

Makes me wonder if a Homeworld gem would recognize a human in a covering getuplike a  as a human in a suit, some kind of alien life in a suit, or think the suit is their actual body.

But Rosey has quite the armor hoard...

[up]"The armor of the Fallen!"

Based on that I'd say it's likely that the armor belonged to humans who fought alongside the Rebellion during the war.

On the other hand, those suits of amour may have been powered by gem shards, hence the name, amour of the fallen.

[up][up]They look like they're from a bunch of different eras, especially if it really is human armor. Could have just been some humans Rose knew.

Either way, it's a weird detail that's been subject to some speculation, but it's also minor enough that I don't really expect a clear answer.

those suits of amour may have been powered by gem shards
Well that's an idea I haven't heard before.

How? That's the thing Pearl was explaining in "Frybo"...

If you're asking how I hadn't heard the idea before, I meant that was the first time I recall someone suggesting those specific sets of armor had gems shards put in them.

I had a dream about SU last night bwhich was mostly incoherent brain farts but some Gems were trying to convince Steven (played by me) that Gems have a barber who cuts their hair. Hehe

Also, regarding gems and clothes, didn't Pearl have a spacesuit? Was that just a different manifestation, or was that a distinct outfit?

That said, I also remember Peridot's initial confusion when she saw clothes, so that's one of the things that the show seems inconsistent about. That said, it's a pretty minor thing all told.

Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.

Gem shapeshifting can be used to just change clothes, which Pearl did onscreen the first time she wore it.

I also remember Peridot's initial confusion when she saw clothes
She was specifically confused by clothes ''that aren't melded to your body", all of which she thinks are called "shirts". She probably can't even shapeshift her clothing, which could be part of why she's so fascinated by such things.

I've always wondered about Pearl's spacesuit, with the very noticeable pink diamond, and I think rather then being Pink's or White's Pearl she was just the pilot for whoever owned the handship that's currently buried in the desert

Pearl's aren't pilots, Nephrites are. Probably.

I tend to think Peridot was exaggerating when she said pearls just stood around. Yellow Pearl is basically Yellow Diamond's secretary/assistant, which certainly isn't a position of power, but it's arguably pretty important.

Even then, a pearl being allowed to pilot a ship, even just as a chauffeur, seems unlikely. Even if their owner thought they could do it, whoever they work for could consider akin to driving without a license or reckless endangerment.

Pearl's aren't pilots, Nephrites are. Probably.
A nephrite was a pilot, and the caste may be specialized as such, but other gems can be pilots—the Ruby Squad had their own ship and Peridot piloted the hand ship.

Kinda sad that the Gems aren't gonna have over nine thousand levels anymore, but I guess it makes sense.

Also Sugi's coming back!

I've realized Netflix and Cartoon Network have reached a bizarre convergence where their release cartoon schedules have gone from complete opposite (weekly releases vs. whole seasons at once) to nearly the same (releasing a season a fragment at a time).
