My strategy is to broaden my interests so when one thing is on hiatus I can go engage in something else
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
Yes, exactly.
This hiatus is bad, not so much because of the length (they inevitably make up for it once episodes are back), but because we've been given no clue at all when it's going to end—there hasn't even been any official posting from those con trailers that aired two months ago.
We can occupy ourselves with other things in the meantime (you inevitably have to), but that doesn't mean we have to justify poor scheduling with even worse scheduling.
Considering the whole language thing, why complicate it? When they went to the moon base it's shown that Gem bodies automatically adjust themselves to their environment, so why shouldn't they have some sort of universal translation ability as well?

Your momma's so dumb she thinks oral sex means talking dirty.A little animation Takafumi Hori made
, possibly inspired by a SU marathon that aired in Japan a few days ago.

I say "hiatus" because a proper finale to Samurai Jack has been planned in some form ever since the original ending. It's just been stuck in Development Hell from then until this year.

I mean, if we're comparing what we've dealt with in terms of delays, I'd like to point out that I eagerly awaited Mother 3 from its first announcement. I'm just glad my command of Japanese is good enough that I just preordered the GBA game and imported that rather than wait for a fan patch.
That said, the fact that I've waited way longer for other properties does not make it any less frustrating that we're still waiting on this one. It really doesn't help when CN's programming decisions are practically geared towards developing a Fandom Rivalry (which is really tragic for reasons that are probably off-topic). I honestly can't figure out any rhyme or reason as to why it's taking this long. I mean, if it were due to production delays, wouldn't someone just tell us?
To flip back to Steven Universe and its plotlines (as opposed to its airdate schedule), do the Diamonds have any idea that "Rose" is no longer on Homeworld? This might be one of those things answered in an upcoming episode, but based solely on what we've seen thus far, they'd be searching for Steven on Homeworld, presumably, right?
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. On the other hand, though, because all of the robonoids were destroyed, they never relayed information back to the Diamonds or their servants. So for all Homeworld knows, Lars and "Rose" destroyed them by themselves. The existence of the Off Colors would still be secret.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.
