So I guess that would have made two gems with visible breasts.

Well, had it been as big as the Cluster in the actual series, we wouldn't be seeing Earth.

Well Gem bodies are made of hardlight, so technically only the Gem's... gem should account for her mass.

It's concept art, not canon (thus making the caption for the imgur link inaccurate).

Clearly, it's for a drafted but rejected version of the Cluster plotline—one where the Cluster was a very powerful monster, but not one that would destroy the Earth just by forming.

No, their bodies explicitly do have mass. Anyway, its gemstone is also much smaller than in the actual show.

Gem's bodies change their mass based on the gravity of the planetoid they're on, which is why Ruby was able to stand and walk on Steven's bubble. The Cluster would not have any planet to stand on if she was just orbiting around the Earth, so the only mass making up her body would be her gem.

Fall speed isn't reliant on mass of the object, only the mass of the planet(oid) you're on.

It's more like they all have a subconscious version of Rose Quartz's "floaty powers" so they always fall at 9.8 m/s2 (or whatever) no matter what planet they're on.

And it's probably about the same as for regular objects on Earth because Homeworld has about the same gravity as Earth.

Unless Homeworld also functions like that.

Fall speed isn't reliant on mass of the object, only the mass of the planet(oid) you're on.

The equation for fall speed is an approximation used when the object's mass is very very small compared to the planet(oid) it is on. Otherwise, the planet(oid) would fall towards the object (it always is, but in the former case, it's falling very very slowly).

Even in the general (Newtonian) equation, you can cancel out either objects' mass to get its acceleration toward the other object. Increasing one object's mass does not affect its acceleration from gravity at a fixed distance, just how much its gravity accelerates everything else.

For gems to move around the same in any gravity field, they really would have to change the pull of gravity directly, not just increase or decrease their density.

For anyone not following the spoiler thread, we now know the title for one more episode (probably the next one), though essentially nothing else.

I can't remember if I brought this up before but the image of the famethyst reminded me,I was actually really surprised they never had to talk Amethyst out of a I Choose to Stay when it came to the zoo,

[up]I never really thought of that, but I don't think there was enough time for it. Plus I don't think she'd want to stay and get yelled at by Holly Blue.

I think she would endure being yelled at just to be around all those Amethysts and finally feeling like she belonged somewhere,

I don't know, man. Standing guard doing nothing, and getting yelled at doesn't sound like a fun time. And Amethyst is all about fun time.
