"Drop Beat Dad" has two saving graces that I can think of.
One is that Marty does have the realistic reaction to how strong Steven is. That was one of those things I had been wondering - is Beach City just used to how strong he is? (Yes, yes they are.)
Two, it set up "Mr. Greg," and that episode was superb.

Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. No one besides the Cool Kids would be aware how strong Steven is...as his displays of above average strength in the fluff only appear in episodes with them.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I kinda feel an appropriate Hand Wave is needed there, like plenty of people have probably seen Steven do some impressive physical stunts here and there, even if the only time we see him show it off is in front of the cool kids. Namely, is it reasonable that, at some point or another, he would have shown off some level of Super-Strength in front of the local residents? Sure.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.![]()
And...he was in a car on a road where everyone else was also in a car.
Only Onion could've saw seen him do that.

Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.32 Footsteps seems to be saying that scene made it clear everyone knows about Steven's Super-Strength, and he's glad that was clarified.
Don't know what that has to do with a Hand Wave, it's just answering a question about what things which characters know.
Fixed for you.
Also, the Off-color Gems also noted Steven's strength, so it's unusual even for a Gem.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.![]()
Or maybe those off-colors were just weak...
Because Steven still can't actually compare to the CGs in strength.
But apparently Gems can get stronger because CG Pearl does stuff...

But it didn't seem like they could move that rock until Steven helped...like it didn't move until Steven started pushing.

At first I thought "What dumbass thought it was a good idea to have a marathon about Onion?", but then I remembered that Sour Cream is his brother, which makes the idea marginally more acceptable.
