In "The New Lars" and "Future Boy Zoltron"...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. For whatever reason, only "Are You My Dad?" and "I Am My Mom" are on Sling... that said, woo boy.
Maybe it's me, but Aquamarine seems a bit game-breaker-y. The fact that she can basically stun Alexandrite while freezing six others in place has me wonder if there is any practical limit to what she can stop in one shot. I really hope so, because I really want to see her get her comeuppance.
I'm also left wondering just what Topaz is actually like. She/they could have been replaced by a walking robot jail for all the difference it would have made for the plot. Relatedly, though, it does have me wonder if Garnet could also do that "trapped in a fusion" technique.
I definitely thought to myself "Huh... Lars is totally going to be important for what follows," so that preview doesn't surprise me in that regard. BD is surprisingly intriguing, though.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I just hope Steven gets a chance to explain to the Diamonds who and what he is. "I'm Steven Universe, the son of Rose Quartz. She gave up her physical form to make me. I don't have any of her memories, but I'm here to stand trial for the things she did."
Aquamarine wasn't nabbing people for the zoo, she was sent to gather specific people because Steven mentioned them by name that one time. What do you think Homeworld wants them for?
They're for the Zoo...
That's the only thing they can be caught/captured for...
They aren't aliens...

I actually don't think the Diamonds recognized the names he gave as "specific people" so much as "types of people". They're still limited to seeing things from the Homeworld perspective.

Oh God! Natural light! As a side note, I'm kinda curious as to what Peridot's reaction will be when she finds out that all of this was due to her report. It wouldn't be fair to be harsh to her over it (she probably didn't even think it was important; she probably just included it because she's the type to include everything, no matter how trivial; also, that was obviously submitted pre-Heel–Face Turn), but I'm curious to see if she's embarrassed, apologetic, panicked, or anything else.
Oh, unrelated, totally snagged a Lapis Funkopop vinyl. Pretty sweet - it even has her wings.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. Now I'm serious questioning if those humans were just being sent to the Zoo. Yellow Diamond clearly wanted some of each known "type" of humans to have a representative sample of Earth's populace after its destroyed—she doesn't like the Zoo, but if she's going to work on it, she'll do it her way. But they know enough about humans to realize they can't preserve any "type" for long by just dumping one of each in the Zoo. They may have just wanted one of each to examine before trying to get more—or something weirder depending on what Homeworld's tech is capable of.
The entire thing is just an attempt to placate Blue, anyway. It not being sustainable probably makes it even better for Yellow, because it means Blue will have to move on from it sooner.
That, and Aquamarine basically said she was halfassing the job so it would be over faster.

Could be since they still think there's a ticking time bomb in their planet that the only reasonable way of preserving their species for Blue Diamond's sake would be the take different types of human and dump them down on another planet and hope for the best

I considered that, but do you think Blue would fall for that even temporarily?
Speaking of other planets, the Wanted promo seems to indicate Steven and Lars can wonder around Homeworld without any protective gear.

Convenient air space for space travelling humans.
Honestly, to be expected.
Can't have the useless guy stuck in a space ship.
Maybe they use zoo humans on HW.

They're still under the impression that the Cluster is going to emerge any day now and destroy the Earth. She doesn't really have much choice in the matter.
Speaking of which, it's odd that our Peridot was apparently the only one keeping taps on the Cluster. Otherwise you'd think someone else would have already informed Yellow that things are way off schedule.

Yeah, probably.

I think given how the cluster is classed as a Geo weapon I think they didn't want to risk too many gems getting too close to something that would quite quickly tear the planet apart and catch them in the resulting destruction
They also had no idea when it was supposed to emerge,so sending just one gem is the better safe then sorry approach
