It's something that's come up most times someone suggested Lion is just a corrupted gem, sometimes presented as evidence against the theory. I don't personally see it as that significant; corrupted forms seem so random that I wouldn't question a gem turning into a monster that (at least superficially) looks male.
Although Rose's pack of lions suggest Lion's specific form isn't random, and his mane may not actually be made of fur.

Wouldn't Rose have to have been the one who put the tape in lion's mane and in the desert? Wouldn't that mean that she knew if Steven was gonna be a boy or girl?
If this show ends with a Distant Finale and we see Steven and Connie happily married then I'm betting money that they'll have a girl named Nora.
The Other 1 Dude thinks things could have ended up in his mane just by swallowing them, because he swallows a lizard one episode and barfs it up in another.

I didnt like that episode and I feel is kinda anti climatic as it just show some pointless data about steven.
Also a issue here is that even if steven dosent have some great plan, it still have to deal with rose unresolved stuff, including the whole shattering thing, for me rose is getting a little bit closer to win the unalaq prize for best parent.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Steven wants to have a purpose...apparently.
Learning that Rosey didn't have a plan was the point.
Being pointless was the point.
Dealing with Rosey's Baggage isn't related to why he exist, it doesn't matter.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Likewise we know all the Centipeetles were the same type of Gem pre-corruption.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing."Doug Out" promo.
As to be expected, none of the stuff here should be expected in the actual episode.
I misread it that was too, mostly because it's a list of 'No's but most of the list (tobacco, peanut shells, gum) is barely legible.
> Have they ever explained why every gem is female except for Steven?
Reminds me of similar question I had about Dragon Ball's Saiyan race and the fact Goku only had sons and no daughters
Although the actual answer is that Freeza blew their planet up,I still don't know why Goku had sons but no daughters.

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverPan is his granddaughter and only a quarter Saiyan, and the female Saiyans from Super are in a different universe. We've seen Goku's mother, Gine, in Dragon Ball Minus, Akira Toriyama's own version of the Bardock: Father of Goku special that sucks ass because it's just a shitty rewrite of Superman's origin with major timeline issues, but since Toriyama wrote it it's canon.

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Yeah searching around he confirms Bardock's story was an anime original thing
. It doesn't sound like he was super involved with it. He didn't even design the character.

If Lion is indeed a gem - corrupted or otherwise - it's interesting to me that he/she has the form of a male lion (lionesses don't have the head-encircling manes) while all the other gems (sans Steven) are coded female.
